Friday, Jul 11-15, 9:00am -3:00pm (M-TH); 9:00am-12:00pm (F) Location: Fairfax High School Field House (Gym) Led by former Washington Wizards forward Awvee Storey and his experienced staff, the camp will feature professional instruction for boys and girls, with the instruction designed for the specific skill level of the participants. Coach Storey was a standout collegiate basketball player at Arizona State University, before continuing his playing career professionally in the NBA with the Wizards, New Jersey Nets, and Milwaukee Bucks. Storey also competed professionally internationally in New Zealand and the Philippines. Float amidst God’s beautiful creation for 4 days and 3 nights along the Missouri River. Sr. Teen Camp August 1-6 Missouri River Float Trip Boys & Girls entering grade 10 and up to age 19 Cost: $170 Register by July 25 This is a pre-register camp with limited space. Check-in time: 10am-12pm, Monday, August 1 Registrations available at www.lewtana.com Plenty of canoeing, swimming, Bible classes and day hikes along the river are on the schedule. Additional items to bring: a life jacket, a set of warm clothes, good hiking shoes, a flashlight, a modest one-piece swimsuit, a small backpack. Insect repellant and sunscreen are provided. If you have a canoe or extra lifejackets we could borrow please contact us. Camp ends with a program on Saturday at 1:30. Parents are encouraged to attend the program, as there are awards given out and a slide show of pictures from the week. This is a pre-register camp with limited space. Youre making up songs, and they sound pretty great. Everybody thinks so. Yet, youre curious how to make future songs sound pretty greater. This workshop moves past the rigid structure that got your improv songwriting on its feet, and smoothes out the edges. Week one takes you back through song structure and function in finer detail, adding some new ways to build on simplicity. The second week works on two pairs of skills – beginnings/endings & leading/following. Week three delves into the wild world of fancy tricks and slick pop moves to prep your tool belt for heaps of song types.
