What Items Are Important to Bring to Summer Camp?
As always, the mission of the camp dictates what campers should bring. However, no matter the focus of the program, there are some universal essentials to bring. Packing is hard. Having a general packing list makes it easier for parents and children to handle this process.
First, one should always bring bedding, a pillow, and any comfort items like a stuffed animal. 2016 Pre-Teen Summer Camp – Register March 9-11 - Scott Air Force Base
Youth, ages 9-13, are invited to register for the YP Pre-Teen Summer Camp which is held weekdays during the summer months from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This camp offers half day care with extracurricular activities for youth. Field trips will be conducted once a week to places like Sky Zone, City Museum, Raging Rivers Water Parks, The Fusion, laser tag, as well as excursions to base activities. (Field trips/activities such as bowling are an additional cost.) Fee: $100/child per week, plus the cost of excursions. Youth Programs membership is required. Annual Program membership is $48/child. Camp begins at 6:30 a.m., and ends at 12:30 p.m. when open recreation at the Youth Center starts. Youth are required to bring their own meals, however the snack bar is open periodically. Limited slots are available, sign-up early! Middle School Mountain Camp Session 2 - Mt. Adams Institute
Adventurous middle school students will love this camp. Were hosting a 6-day, 5-night adventure camp that includes 2 days of whitewater rafting, spelunking in lava tubes, hiking to mountaintop vistas, biking through the valley, and learning watershed science. Well be based in the White Salmon River Valley in Trout Lake, Washington. Students should expect to make new friends, learn new ways of traveling in the outdoors, and come home excited about exploring the Columbia River Gorge and the Cascade Mountains. ***Note: this is the NSCs USA CUP Week - expect uncommonly busy parking and traffic this week*** Welcome to back to AKA Archery Week. Thanks to John "Jack" Wachlarowicz (SCV-MDHA Board of Directors & MN DNR Hunter Education Instructor) and his professional instructors and the MN DNR, this is a weeks opportunity of a lifetime for any kid!!! Not only do kids get tremendous instruction with Archery but we try to instill a greater sense of the outdoors and taking advantage of our nations parks! Featured Fieldtrip: Science Museum, St. Paul - featuring the National Parks Omni Movie attraction, Thursday, July 21. FYI - The actual day camp runs from 9am-4pm though kids are welcome to get dropped off as early as 7am and picked up as late as 6pm. There is so much activity between these hours! This non-contact full day camp will offer a practice atmosphere while focusing on fundamentals and overall football safety for athletes preparing to play either flag or contact football. In addition to a team practice setting, daily individual teaching is provided for athletes to focus on their positions of choice. Afternoons will be filled with competitive Flag Football games and other fun team building activities. The camp is under the direction of Mark Modeste - Assistant Head Coach at Sacred Heart Prep.
