Purple Tennis Nation is hosting a week of action packed tennis activities designed for beginning and intermediate level players. Each day will be loaded with drills and activities that will improve any level of player and instill a love for tennis and build character. Friday will be tournament day where all rally ready players will be grouped by age and ability to put their new and improving skills to test. There will be daily snacks and all players will receive a camp t-shirt. Sibling discounts available. Contact Community Services Department for more information. Discounts not available online. Join Mrs. Wilson for a 3-5 mile intense hike in the beautiful CVNP. Be ready for strenuous trails by wearing sturdy hiking shoes or boots and carrying a water bottle. Eat a good breakfast for energy and stamina. We will be on the bus promptly at 9am to be able to get back to school in time for lunch. Bring rain gear and be ready for some serious hiking fun. Ages 9 and above unless Mrs. Wilson gives written permission to a younger child who is capable of these hikes. Instructor: Holly Wilson, BS, Old Trail School Grade 4 teacher and former national park volunteer *Optional Backpacking Adventure Add-on to Trekking Camp After a week of trekking, some students might want to do a little backpacking trip. Students can meet at Brandywine Falls Friday at 5pm and hike 4 miles to Stanford Youth Hostel for an overnight campout. Pick up at Stanford Youth Hostel at 10:00 am on Saturday morning. Girls entering grades 7-8 in fall 2016 are encouraged to take part in our leadership training program. This culminates in a completion ceremony on the Tuesday overnight, which all girls are encouraged to attend. The AITS are still considered campers and spend their time preparing for their future roles as program Aides the following year (entering 8th grade). It is necessary that girls registering as AITS are able to attend camp the entire two weeks of the program. The administrative team is continually striving to provide all of our campers an excellent camp experience. Well-trained Aides are critical to this goal! Please note, girls must attend camp all days to complete the AIT program. Girls who were AITs last year but did not attend all days of camp must register as an AIT again this year. **PLEASE NOTE – The AIT unit will be filled to a maximum enrollment of 60 based on the criteria of the Admission Policy.
