We will explore seascapes, ocean life, lighthouses, and more while learning from masters in art such as Edward Hopper, Winslow Homer and Henri Matisse! Catch a wave with us into visual arts looking below the ocean surface in a submarine, and taking a walk along the sandy beach picking up sea shells. While participating in mini projects inspired by artists, students will have the practical opportunity to develop character by working together applying their learning for the common good of their school, local, and/or global community with a service learning project. Students will perceive and respond to works of art, objects in nature, events, and the environment. Students will describe how artists can show the same theme by using different media and styles. The culminating wearable art project will center around common class selected themes demonstrating human diversity as it relates to visual arts. DIGITAL PROJECTS FROM CONCEPTION TO PROJECTION INVENTIONS Budding entrepreneurs will be provided with problem-solving opportunities to explore the inventor that is within their imagination.
