Youth Football Day Camp - Farrell Stadium
West Chester University Football Camp specializes in teaching non-contact skills to youths ages 7-14. Training is age appropriate and station based, allowing both beginner and advanced players to participate in all skill and drill work. Campers will have the opportunity to work with position areas on both offense and defense. The camp will be run by the football staff at West Chester University along with many current members of the Golden Rams team. Campers will get the opportunity to learn from and interact with members of the nationally successful Golden Rams football team. This is a great opportunity for campers to learn from players who are currently performing the same skills they will teach. All sessions will focus on football instruction and skill development in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay and watch from the stands. 610-436-3555

Intro to Lego Robotics - Glenmont Elementary
Introducing the brand new Lego WeDo 2.0. Students will explore simple robotics using LEGO WeDo. Each week they will build models, attach sensors and motors that are plugged into a computer or tablet, and configure behaviors using simple programming. As students advance through the program extension projects can be added for those who are ready for more challenging projects. This robotics class covers topics within science, technology, mathematics and engineering. Science was never this much fun! Grades 4 & 5 meet on Wednesdays. Grades 1-3 meet on Thursdays. Students in grade 3 participating in both programs will meet on Wednesdays for Lego Robotics. Campers gain geographical, cultural and artistic awareness of South American countries through exposure to their music, food and dance forms. Additionally campers learn how to move to new rhythms. No prior dance training required. Campers play active & quiet games, create, sing songs, act, dance, cook, play sports and discover the joys of learning Spanish through engaging activities. Theme vocabulary includes colors, counting, verbs, nouns related to instruments, adjectives, sounds, tastes and places. This program provides opportunities for painting and field sketching as well as exploration of Beaver Brooks beautiful fields, forests, and streams. There will be opportunities for direct drawing of animals as well as from prints of outstanding artwork produced by artists from around the world. Through games and stories, youll also learn more about the lives of the plants and animals of the Northeast.
