Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you have to stop your morning and evening prayers! Actually, our daughter is the one who reminded us of that and it was just one of the wonderful lessons she brought home from her time at Park River. Aside from the bible study which she was really engaged with, her favorite thing was the cast iron cooking lessons. The intention of kid’s Yoga Camp is to teach children about the different places, people, animals, that live around the world. Going into a Journey with Yoga and learning it meaning “Union”, bringing this concept through physical activities games, arts and crafts, storytelling, puppets and more. Children will explore this Journey in a cooperative relationship, learning about friendship, happiness, kindness, honesty, passion, self-esteem and gratitude. Acoma Bears A, Full Day - Hopkins Campus
Join Camp Acoma Bears for a summer of action, creation and relaxation in six unique sessions. Local field trips serve as capstones and opportunities for more hands-on learning and adventure. A foundation of Camp Acoma is developing strong relationships with other campers and counselors. Blake faculty and counselors who are caring role models with unique talents lead Camp Acoma. Our counselor-to-student ratio is below 1:8. Dedicated arts and physical education faculty deepen athletic and artistic experiences throughout each session. Please pack a nut-free lunch, afternoon snack and water bottle for your child each day. Refrigerators and microwaves are not available. Camp Acoma Bears takes full advantage of Blakes rolling acres, pool (Hopkins campus only), gymnasium, ice arena (Hopkins campus only) and nearby lakes. Each session offers hours of swimming lessons and water-based activities. A personalized swim assessment guides the instruction of each child and Red Cross Certified lifeguards serve as instructors. New or reluctant swimmers will be guided gently in water adjustment and learn-to-swim exercises. Ice skating in Blakes arena will be offered twice a week (Hopkins campus only). Field Trip of the Week : Brunswicks Zone Bowling and Arcade, Thursday, June 16 FYI - The actual day camp runs from 9:00am-4:00pm though kids are welcome to get dropped off as early as 7am and picked up as late as 6pm. Come learn how to become a more effective and powerful hitter. We will cover armswing, approach, hand control, and attacking different tempo sets. *Note: This mini camp will have different drills from the morning session, so those attending both session will not repeat all of the same drills. 713-348-4795

Each Winter Uprising Faceoff Days will consist of warm ups, presentation and group practice of specific faceoff techniques as well as real time faceoffs. Faceoff techniques will include footwork, stance, hand position, primary move, counter move, GB play, wing play, stick work, and shooting instruction, etc. Individual player observation and instruction will occur throughout. Clinic will conclude with a skill appropriate king of the hill.
