Can We Interview the Staff?
Many summer camp staff are seasonal. However, there are usually a number of year-round staff who can answer parents’ questions. This is a chance to talk about how homesickness will be handled, emergency procedures, the daily schedule, dietary restrictions, and more. Interviews can happen via phone, email, or even Skype. Patience is important. Staff members’ time is usually limited during the winter and spring season.
Before going into this conversation, parents should make a list of questions. This ensures all necessary information about safety, program, and cost are touched upon. Camp staff should be able to explain how registration works...

BSA Spirit Night - Summer Camp Fundraiser - Carrollton, TX
Boy Scouts Troop 114 is raising funds for Summer Camp! Please stop by and grab a delicious dinner anytime between 5-8pm on Thursday, April 7th. You can come in and visit with the troop while you eat OR you can participate via the drive-thru! Just tell them you're with the fundraiser when you order, they'll put a copy of your receipt in a basket and a portion of your meal cost will be donated to our troop! That's it, SO easy! Please share this event out with everyone you know who lives in the area; everyone is welcome and invited to join! Thank you all for supporting our boys. It takes a lot to get these kids to Colorado and we truly could not do this without your help!!!

Join Jewish community teens from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, and Ithaca for an amazing weekend of Low Ropes, Sports, Leadership Training programs, and a huge Saturday Night Carnival! Open to all 8th-12th graders in the Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, and Ithaca Jewish communities. $18 registration fee will be donated to a charitable organization chosen by teen participants. Join Faith Hibbs-Clark, CSA casting director as she hosts her funnest and most informative kids auditioning camp ever! Your child (ages 8 to 16) will enjoy an entire day of educational games and audition lessons and fun! They will have so much fun with the holiday themed "party" they won't even catch on to the fact they are learning. They will work with holiday themed commercials as well as holiday themed film scripts, compete in fun and festive competitions, create projects, and enjoy a good old fashioned pizza lunch. $150/$140 if registered and paid for by December 1st 2015. December 21st 2015 9 AM to 4 PM Held at Sol Acting Academy in ABQ, NM Taught by Faith Hibbs-Clark, CSA casting director who has been casting for 16+ years! Actors Workshop - The Philadelphia School
The Actors Workshop Club is geared toward 5th-8th grade students who love to act/perform and want to learn more about how to create theatrical productions. Taught by Philadelphia actor and performing artist, Katie Croyle, for the past three years, Actors Workshop explores performance techniques and methods, including: improvisation, vocal exercises, physical movement (and dance), script study/scene work, and self-created work. This club is a great opportunity for students to explore their own creativity and use performance as a medium for self-expression. (Please Note: This club runs for two consecutive terms with a culminating student-produced performed production at the end of the spring term.) 2155455323.0

Great Outdoors June 27th-July 1st 9am – 4pm (Ages 5 – 11) Monday – Friday Its back to nature in this camp and we mean literally! If it has to do with nature and the great outdoors we are all over it! These days kids seem to be losing touch with nature, so in this camp we are going to bring them back to the wild side. Kids will leave civilization behind as we head out into the great unknown to learn all about nature and surviving the outdoors. Campers will get the ins and outs of navigating trails, compass use, telling time by the sun, identify animal tracks, interact daily with animals, make fossils, build a drift shelter, survival skills, make Native American crafts, outdoor cooking (more than just smores) and so much more. By the end of camp you might not get your kid to come back into the house! Pint sized survivalist fun is on order for this camp on the Wild Side! Minecraft is a block-building sandbox game with no set rules, where you can build anything you can possible imagine. Lets pretend youre alone in a mysterious new world, full of hidden dangers. You have only minutes to find food and shelter before darkness falls and the monsters come looking for you. What do you do? What we teach you might just save your life! Learn how to find resources; make a shelter; craft tools, armor, and weapons, and protect yourself from monsters. Campers also create their own adventure map as design, production, and test playing guide them. Campers learn how to work as a team as they take on the real-world jobs of programmer, game designer, artist, and architect. There are two modes of the game. The scenario above describes the survival mode. There is also a creative mode where there are no monsters and you will be able to fly around and have unlimited resources to build amazing creations and buildings.
