LATEST CAMPS NEWS: July All Skills Camp - Commuter - Kirwin/Blanding Complex
This three-day comprehensive camp focuses on challenging each camper to take their game to the next level. Campers will be divided by skill and work with the coaches to enhance their knowledge of the game and improve their skill set. Serving, passing, attacking, defense, blocking, setting, team transition and team competition will be taught throughout the camp. This camp is designed for those entering the 6-12th grades. Space is limited so register early. Deposit is due at the time of online registration with the remaining balance due on or before the first day of camp. Additional check-in information will be attached to your confirmation email after registering online. There is a $50 processing fee for cancellations. Camp will be held at the Seaton Center, Memorial Coliseum, Joe Craft Center and additional UK facilities. Campers must be at least 12 years old on the first day of camp to stay overnight. 859-257-2532

Held in Ashland, Nebraska at Carol Joy Holling Camp and Retreat Center, this event will gather youth from across the ELCA for intentional leadership development and faith formation. Our guests include Presiding Bishop Eaton, Kevin Strickland, Assistant to the Presiding Bishop/Executive for Worship, Stephen Bouman, Executive Director for Congregational and Synodical Missions of the ELCA, and several other wonderful speakers and teachers. Our featured presenter is Lyle Griner who will be coaching us on Peer Ministry. Each synod will select two youth to participate and send one adult to accompany them on the journey. Registration will be covered by a special grant. Your only responsibilities will be travel and being open to what God has in store for you through this event. Registration closes on October 1, 2015.

Ashland University Mens Soccer Camp - Old Trail School
Coaches from the Mens Soccer program at Ashland University, lead by Head Coach Oliver Slawson, will focus on skill development for young soccer players. Campers will learn soccer skills and techniques through exercises and games specifically designed for young players. Campers are encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace, under the careful guidance of Ashland Mens Soccer Coaching staff and players. Coach Slawson was a 10-year Assistant Coach at The University of Akron and Director of the Akron Soccer Camps, prior to becoming the Head Coach at Ashland University in January 2016. Having developed thousands of campers and youth players in Northeast Ohio, Coach Slawsons Ashland Camp will be a fun and interactive week of soccer, where campers will experience technical development with the emphasis always on fun and learning through individual and small group training activities & games! What do you get when you infuse a camp day of games, swimming and sneaking around in the woods with hammers, saws and wood? Wood Working Camp! Children will learn the ins and outs of tool use and building things with their own hands. They will dream big while creating their own projects from a pile of scrap wood like birdhouses, shelves, etc., puzzle over stripped screws and how best to pull out a nail. Requirements: all campers must bring their own hammer and Japanese pull saw (specifics will come in your welcome letter). 540-456-7339

The Wallis is pleased to offer an opportunity for youth ages 12-18 to become a Student Arts Reporter. This program is designed for students interested in the arts and journalism or critical writing. The Wallis is proud to partner with the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle and other local media partners to help mentor students to view productions with a critical eye and write reviews for selected Wallis performances throughout the season.
