Every successful babysitter has a few tricks up their sleeve to keep kids happy, healthy, and most of all entertained! Campers will complete an interactive notebook filled with kid friendly snacks, learning activities by age group, engaging games, and more. We also cover topics child care professionals need to know such as how to build a resume, interviewing with potential families, how to find child care jobs, caring for children with special needs, and being a professional. Increasing physical activity helps school age children to live a healthy lifestyle. Bike4kids is an annual event that helps school age children get their first bike to get them started on a postive path. Kentucky 4-H Teen Summit is held annually at the Kentucky 4-H Educational Center in Jabez, KY. The conference is for youth who are currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. This program is designed to develop leadership, citizenship and communication skills in youth. While at the conference, all participants get to learn in fun and educational workshops taught by members of the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council. The conference also includes motivational speakers that get young people excited about leadership. The cost to attend is $115 which includes meals, lodging, and transportation. 04th 2016 Camp, Horse Lovers OVERNIGHT - Blue Point Stables
This "Horse Lovers" OVERNIGHT Camp begins on a Monday at 9:00 am and continues until Friday at 4:00 pm. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts, Horse Health and Welfare and Swimming Pool fun at the end of each day. Plus, making friends or renewing previous relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers will need to bring appropriate clothing for each day, to include layered warm clothing on cooler days and rain gear when needed. Their breakfasts, lunches, dinners and drinks for each day will be provided by BPS. Daily change of clothing is recommended during the hotter weeks. Swimming is optional and up to the camper However, a bathing suit and personal beach towel is required. Meals. beginning with lunch on Monday and ending with lunch on Friday (includes all Breakfasts, Lunches & Dinners), will be provided for each overnight camper through the week. Football Camp 6th - 8th - SCDS
The goal of the Hornet Football Camp is to give campers the finest football instruction and a stepping stone to becoming a confident football player, while having a week of fun! This is notaconditioning or recreational camp. This camp is designed to teach the football techniques used at the high school level and to help prepare the players for their upcoming SPAL season. The Savannah Country Day high school football coaches will be the camp instructors along with former Hornet players and some current college football players. Campers will be taught the fundamental skills for their specific position on both sides of the ball as well as compete in group drills to help prepare them for another championship season of SPAL football.
