The San Jose Museum of Art, full-day art camps offer in-depth art experiences for South Bay youth. Our campers gain access to the Museums galleries outside of normal operating hours as they discover artistic design principles through drawing, painting, and sculpting techniques! Led by Museum faculty and inspired by our current exhibitions, the Museums popular Art Camps teach kids how to look at, talk about, and create their own art. Each student receives an art supply kit containing all the materials they need, and the camp culminates in a one-day public exhibition of student work. Young artists explore drawing, painting mixed media, sculpture, and design as they visit the galleries to gather inspiration from exhibited artwork. Campers look for stories within the art while studying formal art elements such as line, shape, color, and texture. (408) 271-6846

Summer Day Camp - Marquette, NE
Is your child excited about camp but not quite ready to spend the night? Good news! Timberlake offers Day Camp every Wednesday of regular camp for children from Kindergarten to 5th Grade. Each Day Camp offers a rotation of different typical camp activities. We provide lunch for every camper, and they are put into small "cabin" groups, always in the care of our trained staff. NOTE: Preregistration for Day Camp is not necessary. If you wish, you can simply register and pay when you arrive at camp. Schedule 8:40-9 am - Check in (Follow the signs!) 9:30-11:30 - Rotation of games, camp activities 11:30-12:30 - Lunch and change for swimming 12:30-3:00 - Boats, swim time and camp store 3:00-3:30 - Bible Time with the camp pastor 4 pm - Pick up time What to Bring Wear clothes that can get dirty and muddy. This camp is geared towards improving student-athletes basketball skills grades 4th-9th. ALL COMMITTED AND DETERMINED participants will be put through drills which will force them to "think Basketball". Children love being outside playing in the soil, and they love exploring how plants grow in a garden. Join us as we channel your childs natural curiosity as we learn about flowers and edibles from planting to plate. This camp will include a variety of projects plus tastings of a variety of plants and plant parts ranging from roots to flowers (these are all things you normally eat.). Whats Up With Water? (7/25/16 to 7/29/16) - Aurora
Where is all our water? Is water a renewable resource? In this program participants will explore this question through hands-on water chemistry experiments and other investigations that will help explain why access to clean fresh water has become one of our WGP---Worlds Greatest Problems---and why we need to solve it.
