February Visit & Info Session - Wheatley Heights, NY
A Usdan Visit and Information Session is an excellent way to learn about our many summer programs and what makes them both fun and educational. We begin with a guided walk through campus, introducing the music, art, dance, theater, writing, chess, nature and recreation departments. Our administrative leadership will share a few ideas about what shapes the Usdan program, from where we draw our inspiration, and what makes a summer at Usdan unlike any other. We will explain the enrollment process, and you will be given a chance to talk in small groups, or individually, with our knowledgeable team of arts faculty and staff members. We end the visit with a self-guided walk and exploration of the grounds. To reserve your place at one of our Visit and Information Sessions, click the link and come learn why Usdan is a place where children and young adults flourish. Spring Mini Youth Rally and Mud Run - Kearney, NE
Please join us for our Spring Mini Youth Rally and Mud Run! Starting friday night we will have devos, activities and an evening ending campfire! Saturday morning we will have breakfast and a devo as we get ready for the Mud Run! The Mud Run starts at 10:30 AM with registration beginning at 9:45. The cost for the Mud Run is 35 and the cost for the mini youth rally is 10. Rogue Robots: LEGO Robotics Camp - San Angelo, TX
Robots aren’t just inventions in a galaxy far, far away— they exist here on Earth, at your local library! Join us this Winter Break for a Star Wars-themed robotics camp. Each day we’ll watch a clip from the movies, and build a LEGO robot inspired by the film. The library will be hosting two four-day camps—attending all four days is not mandatory, but each class will build upon the previous classes. No prior experience in LEGO robotics necessary, but seating is limited so RSVP is required. June 6-9: Natural Crafts (Ages 9-12) - Mountain Kids!
Be inspired by the natural world as you explore the surrounding mountains, collect natural materials, and create your own eco-art! Projects will include: making paint from rocks we collect, collecting clay and making pinch pots or other imaginative creations, nature collage, and felted beads. Be inspired by nature! We will balance our time between creating art outdoors, using natural materials in their natural environment, and collecting objects outdoors to create art with nature indoors. We will study nature artist Andy Goldsworthys work and we will create impermanent art such as earth mandalas, spirals, and fairy homes inspired by his work.
