TECH IT OUT Robotics is a high tech interactive day camp where kids and teens learn how to construct, code and compete with a robot of their own design in small teams. While having fun, youth are engaged in teamwork, as well as computer science, problem solving using math, robot engineering design concepts and critical thinking. Is there a future make up artist or movie director living in your house? If so, dont miss out on this action! Artists learn the science behind Hollywoods special effects. Activities will demonstrate concepts related to light, sound, perception, illusion, and model building. Artists will also learn various special effect make-up techniques working with the same materials used by professional make-up artists to simulate cuts, bruises, artificial blood and old age. This is our History 1 week. This week we will be moving around the Bay Area taking daily field trips while using public transportation to navigate our way. The week will be comprised of the schedule below*. Day 1: Alcatraz Day 2: GG Bridge/SF Maritime Museum Day 3: Oakland Walking Tour/Oakland Museum of California Day 4: De Young Museum (may be substituted) Day 5: USS Hornet (Days may not be in the specific order above) We meet at Rockridge BART station every morning at 8 AM then travel the city to our destination or destinations.
