Girls and boys will enjoy the projects which incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) and Tinkering (learning by doing). Graduates of Kindergarten - 5th grade are welcome! Camp will be divided into groups of 8 children with one teacher. Topics of the camp: ● Robotics ● Programming ● Tinkering ● STEAM ● Team Work ● Leadership ● Entrepreneurship Learning objectives: ● Basic concepts of programming : events, commands, sequences of commands ● Basic Concepts of mechanics: simple machines, gears, pulleys, levers ● Intermediate concepts of programming; Program flow model, simple sensors (wait for) behaviors, decision making structures ● Real world solutions and engineering practices like: building solutions to real world problems, problem solving strategies, team work, and leadership Join us for week 2 for Robotics II. An Artistic Exploration - Old Trail School
Each day is a new adventure! Campers will spend the morning traveling to a variety of locations and enjoy an afternoon creating works of art that directly relate to that days adventure. Campers will visit the magical Akron Civic Theatre, wild Akron Zoo, beautiful Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, fascinating Akron Art Museum and fun Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railway. Sports Camp - Week 6 - Far Brook School
Fundamentals Sports Camp is a six week program which may include basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, Summer Olympics, and flag football. Each week we focus on learning the rules and history of a sport, playing it at least once each day. Old camp favorites such as dodge ball, capture the flag, four square, and pirate ball are incorporated into the program as well. However, Fundamentals Sports Camp is not only about the games we play but it is our "off the field" curriculum that sets us apart form other sports day camps. Informal discussions on sports current events, character-building, sportsmanship, and choosing role models are held daily. Fundamentals teaches children the value of teamwork and commitment which are the essential elements of success in sports, as well as in life. AM My First Computer Game Design Camp - Scottsdale Country Day School Campus
This camp is a very unique opportunity to a young child to get an introduction to programming and designing a computer game. We will use Kodu to create cool landscapes, move around various terrains, add characters to our fields and more. All while talking about mathematical concepts like rotation, elevation, two and three dimension, zooming and more. Students love the challenge of creation their own games and they are very proud of their unique designs. 480-833-7338

These camps are designed to give campers the opportunity to fine tune/learn fundamental skills by teaching and correcting campers mechanics and techniques. The skills covered will include passing, serving, setting, hitting, blocking and floor defense. The camp will be led by current UAA Head Coach Chris Green and staff. Space limited to 48 campers. There is a lunch break from 12pm-1pm. Lunch will not be provided. 907-786-1226

Boys do write! This camp gives boys time to write and something to write about. During the week well visit a historic site, hike along a creek, play kickball, have races on a real race course and other exciting adventures, followed by crafting stories about our experiences. The goal of this camp is to give boys time and motivation to dive into writing. This is a great camp for your budding author or reluctant writer. No camp Monday, July 4.
