First Stage Theatre Academy - Omaha Community Playhouse
First Stage Theatre Academy is a two-week intensive that immerses students in the art of Theatre. Since 1997, over 900 students have participated in the First Stage Academy. For two weeks during the summer, students work intensively with professional directors, musicians, and choreographers. Mornings begin with a daily group warm-up, followed by classes in voice, movement and dance, acting, improvisation, scene study and playwriting. Afternoons are spent rehearsing and building the original play which is performed for family and friends at the end of the Academy our Hawks Main stage. 402-553-4890 x131

Session 1: Aug 8-12 * 7th-9th Grades - Icicle Creek Center for the Arts
7th-9th Grade film campers in are in for a fun and exciting hands-on introduction to the media arts in a beautiful natural setting. Start the week filming around the natural beauty of the Icicle Creek Campus, followed by two days of editing and post production. From concept to final cut, young filmmakers will experience each step of the creative process and experiment with new technologies. Campers will learn how to conduct a meaningful interview, handle a camera, set up a shot, record audio, and even shoot aerials from a drone. And once the footage is all gathered, of course, it all has to be organized and edited. By the end of the week, campers will have planned, shot and edited their own movie and well cap it all off with a family screening complete with popcorn! Mugglebees Musical Theater Camp - Belmont Parks and Recreation
Peter Pan Mugglebee Theatre is excited to announce our Summer season of performance opportunities. For the first time we will offer three camps and two different productions. Our two-week musical theatre camps, led by husband and wife team, David and Erin Mugglebee, offer hands-on-experience for all performance levels with the artistic aspects of creating a musical production, from performing Broadway songs and choreography to building sets and designing costumes and props. Here your camper will check-in the morning of June 13th and participate in a catching day camp hosted by Associate Head Coach Pete DAmour.
