Grand Camp for Kids
My kids enjoyed this camp so much! It was fabulous and the staff was amazing. They were able to do the normal camp activities, but they were also able to do archery, paintball, mountaineering, hiking, campfire programs and they even took a 4 day trek into the Grand Canyon. Howdy fellow camp alumni and camp lovers! Come out Friday, June 17th, for a fun filled night of music and drinks at the Columbia heights VFW on 45th and Central. Music will be provided by the awesome cover band, Greyduck with Chelsea Csargo on the vocals who is a former camper, staff member, and current volunteer. This event is a special night to donate money to future campers. Let's help provide kids with the opportunity to experience the magic of the Hodag while building memories they will carry throughout their lifetime! Everyone is welcome... So bring your friends! P.S. Drinks are affordable and there is no cover:)
2nd Annual Summer Youth Camp - Manteno, IL
We will be taking 20 young men ages 10 to 18 to Camp Shaw-was-nas-see for three days and two nights of fun, learning and relaxation. Activities included at this event are First Aid, Map & Compass Reading, Basketball, Swimming, Archery, Nature Trail Walks, Zip Lines, Strength and Endurance Training, Mens Rap, where on last year we talked about the detriments of gangs, drugs and violence, and much much more. All meals will be provided. Last year we paid $60 per person to go to this event but through the generous donations of our donors we didnt have to charge any of the families for their young men to participate in this event. We were also able to purchase our insuance and supplies through our donors. This year we have been given a discount $50 per camper and we are praying for the same support this year. There are cabins on the site so we won't be sleeping outside, camp site tours are available. For more information or to donate call Maurice Shelton at (815)386-3246

Floor Hockey Camp - Main Street Recreation Center
Check out a one-of-a-kind indoor game that involves the fast pace of real hockey but on a solid surface. During this camp, participants will learn the offensive and defensive fundamentals and mechanics of floor hockey. This camp will include stick handling, passing, shooting and goalie techniques as well as team drills. Participants will also develop endurance, coordination and speed through fast and fun floor hockey games played each day of camp. Each participant should bring a water bottle. Our Little River Otters program is modeled around German Waldkindergartens, in which all of our class time is spent entirely outside! Rolling enrollment continues based on availability Outdoor classrooms naturally create endless learning opportunities for our children to nurture their own curiosity, perhaps by following animal tracks and sign, making wild crafts with leaves and treasures found on the forest floor, or using fallen logs as balance beams. Adult mentors assist in the learning, rather than lead the teachings. This is different from a "nature preschool," which infuses lessons with nature-inspired themes and balances indoor time with outdoor time, as we will be outside the ENTIRE time in all but extreme weather conditions. Proper dress and an adventurous, curious spirit is essential... and we know thats what kids do best! 978-463-2233

Join Blue Compass Camps for an exploration of the Beautiful Olympic Peninsula this Spring Break. We will hike, explorer history, visit the beach and the mountains. This trip will be as varied as the Olympics itself. We will spent time exploring coastal towns, majestic beaches and stepping into the rain forest around the Hoh River.
