Are All Summer Camps Coed?
Not all camps are co-ed. There are some single-gender camps available in addition to traditional co-ed programs.
Single-gender camps are great if parents want their children to focus on empowerment and independence. Many youth today are distracted by the other gender, and this is a chance to give kids a break so that they learn how to be friends with their peers. Many of these programs work with nearby groups so that the campers can get off camp and interact with a variety of people.

CAP Kid Camp Malibu - Calabasas, CA
We will stay at Gilmore Camp, in Malibu Creek State Park. This camp is a part of the Salvation's Army Mt. Crags & Gilmore Camp & Conference Center in Calabasas http://campmtcrags.com. Located in the heart of Malibu Canyon, this camp provides life changing experiences with various activities on site in the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains. We are of course also just a short car ride away from the world famous Malibu beaches! We are 1 hr North of LAX, 2.5hr from San Diego, 5.5 hr drive from SF or Sacramento and 7.5 hrs from Reno. Send your kids on a fun 3-5 day adventure. (3rd-4th grade, June 19-21, & 5th-6th grade is June 19-23rd) No day is the same and everyday is loaded with fun! We will play Laser tag, have games & camp fires. There will be a bouncy house, swimming & more. We will be learning about Jesus along the way! Travel Camp Week 10: Metro Movers - Westminster School
What is the best way to cool off in the hot summer heat? WATER and we are going to have a lot of it! Children will get wet every day. Griffins will dive into the pool twice a week, splash at waterparks and soak a friend with balloons, super soakers and more! Pack a bathing suit, towel and sunscreen daily for some cool fun in the sun! *Includes cost of admission and transportation. 8 child minimum, 20 maximum (703) 340-7268
SAT 1/2 DAY ZOO CAMP - SPIDER MONKEYS 9-12 YRS - CHARLES PADDOCK ZOO
Come connect with the animals and learn what they like to do for fun! This exciting camp teaches the importance of enrichment. Enrichment is anything that encourages the animals to make choices, exhibit natural or species-appropriate behaviors. It also presents mental challenges for the animal, encourages physical activity/exercise and enhances their overall health and well-being. Our campers will discover what type of enrichment is best for each animal, create it and then watch the animal ambassador enjoy it! (if time allows, you can make your own take-home enrichment for the animals in your own backyard). Please bring a refillable drink container and a sack lunch. Snacks will be provided. We ask that campers wear closed-toed shoes while at the zoo. Pre-registration is required and can be done online at www.atascadero.org or by calling 470-3360. Our week long Junior Golf Camp is offered each week during the summer. Juniors golfers will learn or improve their golf game. During the week, the instructors will cover each aspect of the game of golf. Juniors will receive 35 hours of supervised practice and instruction. Camp day on Friday includes a pizza party and Golf with Parents in the afternoon.
