This three day camp is designed for boys and girls ages 5‐8. Children will explore ballet, jazz, hip‐hop, tap, and contemporary dance. Students will also have the opportunity to view musicals and ballets to stimulate creativity and exploration as they, together with the instructor, create their own dance routines and imagination!! This camp is the perfect introduction to a variety of dance styles and can help your young dancer decide which dance form they would like to learn more about in our fall program. Camp begins each morning at 9:00am, pick up time is 12:00. Remix Youth would like to invite you, your family, and your friends Easter morning to our Youth Camp Breakfast Fundraiser! Our menu includes: pancakes, sausage gravy, biscuits, fruit, donuts, muffins, coffee, and juice. Youth Camp can be a life changing week for our teenagers! However, it can be a financial burden for some. The cost for camp this year is $275 per student. The cost includes travel, housing, meals, and secondary health insurance. We want to remove as many obstacles as possible that would prevent a student from attending camp. All donations received at our Easter breakfast will go toward students in need of financial assistance. Thank you for your investment into the lives of our Remix teens! Girls experience the power of the full REALgirl curriculum over the course of 5 days. REALgirl® is dedicated to inspiring and guiding girls to discover their REAL (authentic) selves and develop the skills, knowledge, confidence and courage they need to consistently make informed life-choices from a place of self-knowledge, self-respect and strength. It is our goal to provide essential life skills every girl/young woman needs for healthy maturation, development, formation of healthy relationships and the opportunity to reach her own unique and highest potential. Through art, movement (yoga and dance), discussion, writing, theatre games, guest speakers and a variety of other fun and dynamic activities, participants will be guided to develop tools to successfully navigate issues every girl faces today. HS Robotics with Arduino Week 3 - Merrill Engineering Building
A week-long camp for entering 10th, 11th, and 12th graders; or 9th graders who have taken a middle school camp. Campers will build and program machines that react to the world and to people using embedded computers, sensors, and motors based on the Arduino family of processors. This is a fun, engaging camp that doesnt need any prior experience, but uses "real" gear in creative ways. The Arduino system is used in the University of Utah undergraduate Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science courses, so this is a great way to see what goes on in those majors. This camp runs from 9AM-3PM, M-F. Some interest or aptitude in computers and/or building things is expected for this camp. Lunch is provided. 801-585-1726

Folk Art Around The World with Nellie Shevelkina Go Global! Learn about different cultures through their arts. We will travel from Africa to the Americas, Europe to Asia, Australia and in between discovering traditional folk arts from around the world. Explore the history, techniques, and special meanings of various crafts while noticing similarities and differences in their designs, patterns, and styles. We will create mosaics, painted and printed fabrics, sand paintings, mask making, paper maché figurines, paper cutouts, clay whistles, just to name a few. Students are encouraged to research their own cultural and ethnic backgrounds and proudly share these artistic traditions with the class. Fun with Metal with Connie Pfeiffer Make jewelry and mini-sculpture with copper sheet metal and wire to wear or hang. Stamp, fold, hammer, bend, cut, twist and even heat metal to create pendants, medallions and forms from nature such as pea pods and leaves. Students will explore using basic hand tools, especially hammers, mallets, cutters, files, pliers and torches (one-on-one with instructor) to create works in metal.
