Specialized sports program utilizing biometric exercises that will promote the development of gross motor skills, coordination and balance. Fantastic 6 HERO Sports for 6 weeks! We hold a very special awards ceremony for every HERO once a session is completed. Every kid graduates from a session as a HERO and goes home with a certificate of achievement that they can show off wherever they please. Camp Shalom Noar-Bogrim: 9th Grade - Camp Shalom
Camp Shalom, established in 1954, is the oldest and largest day camp in Dane County and is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Madison. Camp Shalom is for campers going into grades K-5 and Camp Shalom Noar-Bogrim, a hybrid of Camp Shalom Noar and Camp Shalom Bogrim, is for campers going into grades 6-9. Camp Shalom and Camp Shalom Noar-Bogrim serve over 1000 children throughout the summer and is located at the beautiful Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman Jewish Community Campus in Verona. Students will sing songs, act out animal themed poems and stories as well as create art projects. Its a jungle in there! Children spending the full day with us should bring a sack lunch for our lunch break at the park Dragons, Monsters and Creepy Creatures We will incorporate our theme of dragons, monsters and creepy creatures into many of our fun drama games. Do you enjoy telling stories with pictures? Do you love looking at childrens books and picture books? If the answer is yes, then youll love Illustration Camp. In this week long camp, we will learn about the process of illustrating a story. We will discover our imaginations, learn basic techniques, and develop an understanding of designing characters. Teresa Assenzo is an Instructor of Fine Arts at Saint Marys School. Ms. Assenzo has a B.F.A from Kendall College of Art and Design, an M.F.A. in Fine Arts from the California College of Arts and Crafts, and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. She has taught at Western Michigan University and has worked with children of all ages at art museums and institutes. Ms. Assenzo has also illustrated and published books for parents and children, has done free-lance writing, and has done art and writing with diverse groups of children and adults. Whose magic is more powerful? The dainty sprite-ness of a fairy? Or the deep mystical aura of a wizard? TCT illuminates the world of magic in our Fairies and Wizards camp. With music, activities and games inspired by the magic of musical theatre, TCT will create a world of sorcery that would make Harry Potter jealous! Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the class each day. Please provide your child with lunch for each day. You may sign up your child for all 3 weeks.
