4-H Teen Summit - Session 3 - Nancy, KY
Kentucky 4-H Teen Summit is held annually at the Kentucky 4-H Educational Center in Jabez, KY. The conference is for youth who are currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. This program is designed to develop leadership, citizenship and communication skills in youth. While at the conference, all participants get to learn in fun and educational workshops taught by members of the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council. The conference also includes motivational speakers that get young people excited about leadership. The cost to attend is $115 which includes meals, lodging, and transportation. Jewelry Making for the Kidn me - Barn Art Classroom
The Kidn Me camps are designed for children from age 5 -18 and a parent or caregiver. This class will cover the basics of simple bead stringing. You will learn to make earrings using wire head pins, beads and pre-made earring hooks. You will design a simple bracelet and learn to finish it with crimp beads and a clasp. Simple necklace styles will be presented and you will design and finish one with your choice of clasp! Earthlings Outdoor Playschool A - Connolly Ranch
Earthlings Outdoor Playschool is a year-round educational experience where respect is our foundation, play our method and the natural world our medium. Earthlings focus is to inspire childrens connection with the beautiful, wondrous and magical earth that we all share, emphasizing the importance of stewardship and care for our families, our communities and our planet. All Earthlings must be potty trained (no pull-ups). Please send children with labeled (childs name) water bottle and a non-sugary snack in reusable containers. For safe play, please dress Earthlings in closed shoes, long pants and a hat. A parent (or other adult) is asked to be a helper at least one day per session. Camp-Half Day Week 1: Cosmic Creations (ages 9-12) - Leland Cultural Arts Center
This camp is a creative combination of art and space. Campers will use visual arts to explore the final frontier! Two dimensional projects, such as drawing, painting, and collage, will focus on design elements such as color, line, and shape. Using clay, campers will take inspiration from textures and patterns found in space when they learn the basics of hand building techniques and out-of-this-world wheel throwing. Its CCArts Improv Live - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
We brought back our popular camp for preteens and teens that was so much fun last year. From Whose Line Is It Anyway to Saturday Night Live to Second City, improvisation is a form of acting that is script-less, spontaneous, and lots of good fun. Use your imagination and creativity, and develop some very interesting and entertaining characters using tried and true improv games.
