My son is going to be a senior this upcoming year and this past summer, he wanted to go to ASM Materials, Metallurgy, and Forensics Engineering Institute in Rapid City, SD. We reluctantly sent him, but were amazed at all the wonderful things he learned and did while he was there. He had hands-on learning in an educational environment about materials, metals, building and engineering. It was as if he has gone away for a semester of college. 2016 - Camp 4 Kids CIT Try-Outs - Orange, CA
The heartbeat of Camp4Kids is our volunteer staff. After all, without a great staff, who would bring the magic of summer camp to the kids and teens who need it most? Great Counselors aren't just born, they're carefully trained! Our Counselor-in-Training program (CIT for short) is the venue through which we teach teens the skills and expertise necessary to care for campers. CITs must be a minimum of 16-years-old at the time of camp. Though previous camp experience is not required, it certainly helps. After extensive training "down the hill" (outside of camp), CITs are paired with Senior Counselors while in camp, receiving first hand experience and one-on-one training, learning what it takes to be an effective leader while in a supervised and controlled environment. Being a great Counselor comes from years of training as a CIT. Come down and try out! RSVP through private message.

16 hours of hard core Krav Maga training with the Krav Maga organization that brought Krav Maga to Tampa Bay and continues to lead the way 16 years into our mission! This years theme is "Homeland Defenders"! Be the best you that you can be- for yourself, your family, your community and your country. Be prepared for whatever happens next. Danger is real, but fear is optional; preparation is the key. Join the warriors of Krav Maga Martial Arts for the most complete and awesome training experience fo your life! Discrete mathematics is a class designed to enhance problem solving and logical thinking. Possible topics are general problem solving and algorithms, recurrence relations, mathematical induction, voting and apportionment, consumer and financial math, graph theory, and number theory. The course explores problem-solving techniques that are not studied in any other courses at Ensworth, so it can accompany both regular and Advanced Placement courses. Join the Chapel School Explorer Program Dramateers as we explore theatre and prepare this One Act Play "Kung Fu Kitty." It is a story about standing up for what you believe in and overcoming adversity. This is sure to be a week filled with laughter, learning, and more laughter! Campers will learn the basics of theatre and present a play at the end of the week. Neighborhood Park Camp at Washington Park is a traditional, high-quality camp that is fun and affordable. Activities include arts and crafts, physical fitness games and challenges, dance, visits to the library, enrichment activities and swimming. Campers play basketball, soccer, volleyball and softball. Instruction is also offered in golf and tennis. Campers are escorted to Robinson Park Recreation Centers swimming pool for recreational swim two times per week. Staff go into the water with the campers and certified lifeguards are always present. Fun field trips are often the highlight of the week. Trips are an additional charge and are scheduled for once a week. This camp is a good fit for active campers who like sports and group activities. The ratio of staff to campers is 1 to 10. Campers are grouped by age, and lunch and a snack are provided. Camp culminates in the annual War Games in which Washington Park Camp and La Pintoresca Park Camps compete in a series of challenges to determine an annual camp champion. Campers are asked to wear sturdy, closed-toe athletic shoes, sunscreen and hats. On swimming days, campers are asked to bring sandals for the pool area and swimming suits. ...

The all skills camp covers all aspects of the game of volleyball with an emphasis on fundamentals. The techniques and skills taught in this camp are designed to provide a strong foundation that allows players to develop into high level athletes as they continue to play. All skills will be covered including passing, setting, hitting, defense, blocking, serving as well as offensive and defensive systems. Every registration requires full payment. A $50 fee will be retained on all cancellations for any reason to cover credit card fees and administrative expenses. The remaining amount will be credited back to ones account if paid by credit card. If paid by check, the University will cut a check back to the original payee. For prompt processing, refund requests should be made prior to the start of camp. A pro-rated fee system will be in effect for those campers only attending partial days of camp.
