Could you suggest camp options for a 10 year old boy?
If you're opening to travel, I would suggest making a list of what you (and your son) are looking for in a camp. Is there a particular activity he likes or would like to try? Is a religious based program important, if so, how important? Do you want it to be an all boys camp or would you prefer a coed experience? I suggest looking at American Camp Association Accredited camps. Also program length is important. If your son is independent and does well away from home you could consider a two-week program. If he does not do well away...

CBMM’s Kids Club summer camps for 6-7 Year Olds - Saint Michaels, MD
Beginning June 20 and continuing through July 29, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is offering its week-long, half day Kids Camps, which bring age-appropriate Chesapeake-themed camps for children 4-7 years of age. Led by a CBMM educator, young Kids Club campers explore the magic of the Chesapeake Bay’s people, animals, and watercraft through fun and interactive activities, stories, games, and crafts. CBMM’s summer camps for children 4-5 years of age are offered during the weeks of June 20, July 4, and July 18; camps for children 6-7 years of age are offered the weeks of June 27, July 11, and July 25. Daily camps take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with campers meeting at CBMM’s Dorchester House and exploring the museum’s 18-acre campus and numerous exhibition buildings as part of the program. Participation is limited, with camps filling fast and pre-registration required. The cost for the week-long camp is $125 for CBMM members, or $150 for non-members, with scholarships available. Sports for the Community - Sports for the Community
Sports for the Community was founded with one goal in mind, introducing our local youth to the substantial benefits of The Beautiful Game of Soccer. With over 20 years of experience from the most successful and influential soccer educators in our area. We welcome all levels of ability, boys and girls, from ages 4 -12. Our soccer educators are age specific specialists and can adapt to all situations. Come enjoy a week of theatrical experiences including: playwriting, costume design, the actors process, and even performance! Students will work collaboratively to create a short play which will be performed at the end of the week. They will use both imagination and research to inform their artistic choices in everything from design work to acting. Additionally, students will explore improvisational theatre in both long and short forms as a means to stimulating the playwriting process and deepening their acting skills. Students with and without theatre backgrounds are invited to come explore, learn, and play! Rachel Wright is a passionate theatre educator who seeks to help her students grow their understanding and compassion for the world, life, and humanity through the magnificent practice of theatre. She has a BS in Theatre Arts Education from Appalachian State University. After college she moved to New York to pursue a career in theatre. She was accepted by Circle in the Square Theatre Conservatory Program where she concentrated on her craft. Upon graduating she began performing in countless off and off-off broadway productions.
