Enjoy learning how to paint outside, En Plein Air, with Harding Middle School Art teacher Amanda Penecale. We will learn how to prepare our materials, take field notes, and paint on location. The camp includes a nice field sketchbook. Campers will create studies with colored pencils in their sketchbooks and then make finished paintings using opaque watercolors. Strider Push Bike Camp - Cottonwood Creek Park
This is where it all begins! Learning fun and balance as young as 2 years old, kids and families spend 45 minutes doing age appropriate games and skills in order to achieve proper balance and steering skills. Strider (push bike) camp is geared toward kids who are walking with their bikes, not fully sitting on the seat and not yet gliding or striding. But, it is also for those kids who are ready to learn how to turn, stop and maneuver obstacles. Parents will be hands on during this class. Learn to BUILD simple machines using gears, levers and pulleys and then MOTORIZE these machines using LEGO and K?NEX educational kits. Each day we will build new simple machines and conduct experiments to see how well they perform. STEM CURRICULUM.
