LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Young Builder (HALF DAY ONLY) - San Juan Del Rio Catholic School
This is the HALF DAY option for Young Builder. Campers ages 4-5 will want to join us to learn exciting construction techniques using LEGO® bricks. Little Builder allows campers to take their first steps into science and engineering. By using the themes of construction and travel, campers learn about machines, the tools used to work on machines, and their functions. Our material packs include a wide range of bricks and special elements in various shapes, sizes, and colors that are ideal for stimulating childrens creative and imaginative skills. Camp counselors will introduce tasks each day in building vehicles, planes, buildings, towns and transportation systems as we work in groups to build a LEGO city! Campers receive lots of suggestions for ideas but are encouraged to use their own creativity and imagination. Stories and games are also incorporated into this camp, perfect for our youngest little campers, ages 4 and 5. Our pre-k half day camps are 9am-1pm with pre camp options available as well! Please pack a peanut-free snack, bag lunch and refreshment for your child. Each camper receives one free camp t-shirt with each week of registration - order as many extras as you want at checkout! Teen Spirit Quest Camp - North Bennington, VT
“This is where I come every year to reflect, re-vision and rejuvenate. It’s my new year!”–Spirit Quest Teen Camper Spirit Quest for Teens is for 13-17-year-olds, who are moving into young adulthood and who need a safe, nurturing place to reflect on where they have been, where they are going and who they are becoming. Camping together, teens develop deep connections to their selves, their peers, their elders and Nature through --council circles, --team-building games, --nature-awareness activities and hikes, --poetry and art --movement and improv --drumming and journeying --sharing in meal preparation --solo time in nature --fire ceremonies and sweat lodges --mediation and yoga Life-long friendships are formed or deepened; issues of self-esteem and soul work are explored with a true honoring of each teen’s unique path. Teens are invited to camp for the whole week, beginning on Sunday afternoon and ending Saturday at noon to allow for more time together. June 27-30: Photo Safari (Ages 8-11) - Mountain Kids!
Kids and digital cameras in nature – a recipe for fun and stunning images! Campers will capture their unique perspectives of the natural world on their daily adventures in the mountains. On Thursday, campers will have time to select, edit and crop a photo for a Friday art show and celebration! Equipment: It is suggested that campers bring their own camera, however we have one group camera that can be shared if they do not have one. 505-699-6230

Wanna go Wild Kratts? Come on an adventure with the coolest creatures! Cheetah speed and lizard glide, falcon flight and lion pride! Make your own creature suits and learn about a different animal and their awesome creature powers every day. There will be so many ways for us to play and learn about animals: dramatic play, crafting & art, fine and gross motor activities, literacy and math practice, and lots of science. We will wrap up our creature adventures with a trip to the zoo to see those creature powers in action! British soccer coaches provide a great camp experience, lending their knowledge and expertise to campers on skill development, tactical awareness and above all else fun. Campers will have opportunities to learn about horses and equestrian safety, and they will experience riding. Campers will stay at Camp Mardela and travel offsite for riding activities. Activities may vary based on schedules and availability. In addition to Horse Camp activities, there will be time for traditional camp activities.
