As a way to fundraise for our annual Ignited Youth Camp, CTF's youth group, Ignited, hosts an annual talent show where youth showcase their talents through song and dance, comedy, magic tricks, baked goods, fresh-brewed coffee, and so much more. Come and join us, support us, buy a coffee and a snack, and enjoy the show. *We ask for a minimum donation of $1 on our baked goods, and $2 on our coffee.

July 18-21: Young Archaeologists! (Ages 5-6) - Mountain Kids!
Santa Fe is home to a rich, diverse and ancient history of many cultures. This week we will put on our detective hats to sleuth out some of our local lore combined with outdoor exploration. We will learn about archeology and what a real archeologist does. Well travel to Bandelier and Pecos National Monument to learn about ancestral pueblo people, the Santa Fe Trail and civil war. Of course, no week of Mountain Kids would be complete without plenty of good old-fashioned adventures in nature! 505-699-6230
Home School Day: Take it Apart - The Mini Maker
During this session the kids are given safety instruction for every day use of basic hand tools such as screw drivers. Your kids work in groups to take apart every day household items that the kids are familiar with. This includes non-operational power tools, computers, home printers, alarm clocks, DVD players, ect. This session is designed for the kids to understand the concept that every day items are built and there are components, big or small inside of them. In this camp you will learn about robotic control and also program the amazing Parallax ?Scribbler 2? robot with its Graphical User Interface programming language. A series of increasing challenges are designed to earn you mastery of this sinister mechanical menace! If you are victorious and there is time you will employ light sensors and program flags to follow lines, avoid obstacles and navigate mazes. Get ready to fire up your skills of deductive reasoning and problem solving. By the end you?ll be convinced that you have a new super-power!
