Creative Campers Summer Camp: Under the Sea - Douglas Park Building
Weekly Theme: Under the Sea Creative Campers is run by our experienced toddler class instructors. The program offers an excellent way for younger children to experience a day camp in a safe environment. Activities includes art, science, music, cooking, indoor and outdoor play, and more based on a weekly theme that is designed for creativity, fun, and friendship! Please bring a snack, lunch, and water. This camp is for kids only - no parents please. $25 nonrefundable material fee payable to instructor on first day of camp. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PRIORITY ONLINE REGISTRATION (for Santa Monica Residents only) runs March 2 (6 am) through March 8. August 1-11: Backpacking/ Digital Storytelling (Ages 13-16) - Mountain Kids!
We are psyched to bring our dual passions for getting into nature and documenting our adventures to Mountain Kids! Campers will spend the first day learning what it takes to makes a compelling video, composition and audio recording. Campers will then learn how to prepare and pack for a backpacking trip, the 6 Ws of preparing for any outdoor trip, map reading and leave no trace principles. We will spend time writing and creating stories on a two night backpacking trip. During the second week, campers will share their time between the recording studio, the computer lab and getting outside to create a 2-3 minute video of their adventures. On Thursday evening we will celebrate with a screening of their work. Equipment Needed: • Backpacking pack, sleeping pad, a sleeping bag, and a mess kit (bowl, fork, spoon, cup). Nike Cross Country - Nike Campus
Boys/Girls Grades 2nd - 10th Train with top coaches and other athletes with over 5 days of training and conditioning. The runs and workouts will be tailored to each individual whether experienced or inexperienced. You will leave our camp having a full understanding of the importance of all aspects of training and what it means to be a total runner.
