Pathways from Medieval to Modern Knighthood - Lower School Gym Building G
Campers will learn the ways of the medieval world as they experience a week in the life of a knight in training. Campers will learn about medieval history, mythology, European martial arts, woodcraft, and a whole host of skills necessary for survival in the medieval world on the path to becoming a knight. The foundation of the camp will be learning the knightly art of combat with the two-handed longsword. Campers will use specially constructed training swords with nylon blades and safety equipment to learn the fighting techniques of the German style of longsword combat. Over the week, we will evolve our training to the modern Olympic sword comparing the lives then, and the lives now of modern heroes. Offered in partnership with Midsouth Fencers Club 9194932642.0

Half Day Camp Minnehaha - AM - Week 4 (PreK-K) - MA Lower School
This camp is designed to provide a half-day alternative for students who are enrolled in a half-day specialty class but would like to stay the whole day or for students who simply want to partake in a morning session of Camp Minnehaha. Students in this popular Etiquette course are taught how to act in everyday social situations, whether at home or away. The program will cover First Impressions, Home Manners, Introduction and Meeting People. Conversation skills. Party Manners, Host and Guest Duties How to write a proper Thank You Notes and an Extension Dining tutorial class. Catherine Holloway, Clevelands Etiquette Trainer for over 23 years, believes that a child with a healthy self-esteem and one that know how to use their Etiquette skills becomes a teenager, young adult with confidence and a positive sense of self. Personal finance Camps - Money Matters - Damascus Community Recreation Center
Money Matters Camp teaches campers the importance of budgeting, saving, and practical spending using fun and engaging finance games. Campers will also participate in a week long business project where students will be responsible for creating their own Ice Cream Shop business model. Money Matters Camp is a fun and interesting way for children to learn financial responsibility. Please bring a light snack, or a lunch if your child is enrolled in camps all day. A $15 material fee will be collected on the first day of camp.
