An Arduino Microcontroller will be used together with Processing code to create interactive programs. A How-To Musical Guide to the Most Daring, Dangerous, Exciting Time ... Like ... Ever! Composers: John Jacobson, Mac Huff A massive electromagnetic attack from outer space has jammed all technical systems, and there is no electricity, no cell phones, no laptops – NO FUN! The kids are in a panic and don't know what to do, until Grandpa and Grandma arrive on the scene and introduce them to a day filled with daring and adventure, music and imagination – all without fancy gadgets! Pathfinders - Bluff Lake Nature Center
Pathfinders will engage their adventurous spirits as they learn outdoor skills and exciting ways to thrive in nature. Campers will immerse themselves in the natural world as they discover shelter building, map-making, plant identification and animal tracking. Daily storytelling and hiking will be sure to keep everyone active and engaged. With their own survival kit in hand, every camper will be eager to share their new knowledge of and appreciation for the outdoors. All campers will learn from science experts, play learning games, make projects, meet new friends, cool off in Sand Creek and have supervised exploration time. Field Trip Camp - with Mr. Earl - Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Commission
Field Trips will leave at different times. Drop-off at the Jefferson County Community Center will be at 9:00 a.m. for the trips on Monday thru Thursday. Friday?s trip to Hershey Park will leave from the JCCC at 7am and will return at 6:30pm. Some trips may not leave until later or may leave as early as 9:15 a.m. During wait time for bus departure and drop off, games and other activities will be provided for the children until they are boarded. Pick-up for campers will be at 4:00 p.m. All trips are transported by Jefferson County School Buses. Campers will be required to bring special items each day. Campers must bring a packed lunch to camp each day, and wear sneakers, along with a snack and plenty of water. Other examples include: swimwear, extra cash for concessions/souvenirs, sunscreen, etc. Parents/Guardians who would like to volunteer to assist with the camp must pay their own fees for entry for each field trip. Parents/Guardians will need to submit a volunteer background check by July 10, 2013 in order to attend any trip. Cost includes tickets and admission for all trips daily. Are you a math whiz who just cant get enough? Then this camp is for you! Well determine your understanding of math and challenge you to keep growing during the summer break. This camp is appropriate for students who are average or above in math but desire to stay engaged over the summer and have fun too! Two separate classes are offered: 1st - 3rd Grade & 4th-6th Grade *Please note: Students who are registered for a morning and afternoon camp within the same week are invited to stay for FREE supervised lunch and recess between 11:30 am-12:30 pm.
