Survival Skills Overnight Campout - Connolly Ranch
Here is a chance for outdoorsy, nature-loving youth ages 9-13 to sleep under the stars at Connolly Ranch. With old friends and new, campers will enjoy practicing basic survival skills, foraging for food and learning how to cook over an open fire. The evening includes a night hike, star gazing, smores-making and storytelling around the fire. Dinner and breakfast included. Campers bring their own camping gear. 707-224-1894

Feeding Frenzy: March 22 YUM YUM..its feeding time at Ecoadventures, and theres no better place to be! Crickets, worms, mice, flies, fish,..you never know whats on the menu, but its sure to be gobbled up!! Feeding time at EA is a busy, busy, day and we need your help to make sure all the hungry mouths get their fair share. Throughout the day, a few participants at a time will go behind the scenes with the EA staff and assist in animal husbandry and care. Throughout the day the feeding frenzy will continue...you might see a snake swallow its meal whole, a croc do a death roll on its lunch, or a chameleons long tongue rocket out to grab a cricket. Learn about carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores, and how animals eat. Play games, make a craft, and even a few snacks of your own as you will definitely work up an appetite! Have you ever wondered how to make fire without matches, purify water, and build your own shelter? Or what you would do if you were stranded on a desert island? If so, then join Survivor Frog! We will learn to recognize and prepare edible plants, track and stalk wild animals, and make rope and baskets out of plants that grow in your neighborhood park.
