This cooking camp is a fun and exciting way to spend summer. There will be two sessions: Session 1- June 22nd - July 3rd and Session 2 - July 6th - July 17th. Cooking Camp will be held at The Silver Spring International Middle School on Wayne Avenue from Monday through Friday, 9.30am - 1.30 pm. All students from grades 4-9 are welcome to register and enjoy this memorable experience. In these 2 week sessions, students will get started with the basics of cooking and gradually increase to more advanced skills. Students will learn the art of decorating foods as well as how to bake, stir-fry, marinate, set a formal place for dining and much more. instructor is Mrs Denise Moore who has been a FACS Teacher at SSIMS from 2001 to present 301-807-9132

Pirate Circus Kid Camp - 1200 Shakespeare, Ste. C
June 15-19, 9:00am-4:00pm, $200/kiddo Hosted by Missoula Fencing Association and Moksha Studio. For kids ages 7-10 years old who wanna be a Pirate AND join the Circus. Monday - Friday 9am-12:30pm: PIRATE (hosted by Missoula Fencing Association) Monday - Friday 12:30pm- 4:00pm: CIRCUS (hosted by Moksha Aerial Studio) PIRATE: Come express your inner pirate! We get our youngest fencers started learning fencing basics with lots of fun and games in this week long camp. Time will also be spent in activities that increase fitness, coordination and strategy development. All protective equipment is provided and we finish out the week with some stage combat. Rustler Ranch Teen Camp - Pierpont, OH
Teen Camp at Rustler Ranch 6th-12th Grade July 13-15 9:30am - 2:00pm $35.00 per teen per day OR $100 for 3 days!! Come out and enjoy the fun at Rustler Ranch! Your teen will learn safety around horses, grooming, daily care of horses, saddling, horse language, how to work with a horse on the ground, riding skills, maneuvering obstacles, and much more. They will then put these skills learned into practice by caring for their assigned horse daily while at camp. Each teen will receive one on one time with their assigned horse and instructor. They will learn through class time and hands on time. Each teen will be evaluated and taught to their current level of riding, beginners to advanced will learn new skills to aid each of them. We ask that each teen wear long pants and shoes with a heal for riding. We also ask that each teen bring along with them a packed lunch each day; fridge and microwave available. Pre-teen Improv Summer Camp (Session 2) - Norfolk, VA
This camp is open to children ages 7 to 12. Students will explore the key elements of both long and short form improvisation. The children will play numerous improv games which will serve to develop and enhance their public-speaking, social, and team-building skills. This camp will be conducted in a non-judgmental environment where the students will build confidence, make friends, and most importantly… have fun. Snacks will be provided on a daily basis and there will be a pizza-party for lunch on Friday. The camp concludes on Saturday with all students performing in a graduation show on the stage of the Push Comedy Theater. Each student will receive a Push Comedy Theater T-shirt and be eligible to perform in the 5th Annual Norfolk Comedy Festival in late September 2016. We will have 3 sessions throughout the summer. Session1: July 11th - 15th, 9:30am to noon Session 2: August 1st - 5th, 9:30 to noon Session 3: August 22nd - 26th, 9:30 to noon These are all beginner level sessions, no experience is necessary. Watch out! Its shark attack! In Invader Defense: Shark Attack, we will create our own version of an invader defense game that will allow us to protect a coral reef from hungry sharks. We will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard and outline the rules of play for our game.
