This feels like a really good time to connect with old and new friends and just be together for a few hours. It's kind of a playground, and small field, that is fenced. It's on the West side of the Park, near 84th Street and Central Park West. It will probably be chilly, so dress nice and warm. The Fall edition of our Teen Power Camp provides a fundamental fitness foundation for any high school student, scaled to anyone from first timers just trying to get into shape to high school athletes looking for structured off-season training or additional in-season work. The Teen Power Program will introduce athletes to bodyweight exercises, gymnastics, powerlifting and basic olympic weightlifting, all while under the close supervision of a certified CrossFit instructor. Our goal is to teach local Teens how to safely and efficiently move their body and external objects (bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, etc) through space, dramatically improving body composition and improving athletic ability in anyone. Our program is designed to increase stamina, strength, power, endurance, coordination, balance, accuracy and flexibility in any person, all while in a team environment filled with positive people. Wright Skills Basketball Camp is a camp for girls entering grades 3-12 in September, 2016. The camp will focus on basketball fundamentals. Players will be grouped according to age and/or skill level. Activities will challenge players to improve their agility, develop their offensive and defensive skills, and build confidence. Each player will receive a camp T-shirt, an evaluation and compete for prizes. This camp meets from 9am to 12pm, Monday through Thursday, July 25-28 and/or August 1-4. Players are invited to attend one or two weeks. The camp will take place at the South Orange Middle School Gym. This camp is under the direction of Jazmine Wright. Jazmine was a 4 year varsity letter winner at Columbia High School. Her team won two Essex County Championships, 2 State Championships, and a berth at the Tournament of Champions final. During her time at Columbia, she became the all-time leading scorer (male or female) and leading rebounder for the girls? team. She garnered All-Area, All-Conference, All-County, All-State, and All-America honors while playing at Columbia.
