Join us for this 4 week session featuring the LEGO WeDo Robotics kit! This session is designed for students who are brand new to WeDo as well as those who have participated in previous sessions this year. Students will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models; and explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students will work WITH A PARTNER during all activities. Please make sure your child is aware ahead of time that they will be partnered up with someone to complete their creations. 904-287-8603

Teen Cooking Camp: Session 5 - Rochester, MN
Your West Circle Drive Hy-Vee is offering a series of cooking classes designed to teach teens (age 12-17) essential cooking skills! Each class will feature a different theme. Teens will be able to eat their creations at the end of the class. August 11th: Create your own recipe! Classes will be taught in our DISH classroom by the in-store dietitian and one of our talented chefs. Fees: $25 per class, due on date of registration. Registration required at least 72 hours prior to scheduled class. To register, visit customer service in the store or call customer service at 507-292-6000. Our annual Kid's Fishing Derby will be on Saturday. We are always looking for great volunteers to help during the derby along with donations. If you have any donations, please drop them off at the Rec Center or Office. We truly appreciate it and so do the kids.

Accelerated Honors Geometry - Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School
For incoming 9th graders and returning students. This course is available to students who qualify for Honors Geometry, who are interested in taking the course over 6 weeks in the summer to be able to take Honors Algebra 2/Trig during the 2016-2017 school year. Current students interested in this opportunity must be approved by the math department. Incoming freshmen who are interested in taking this course must first take the Math Placement Test at SJND on March 21st. 510-523-1526

Boys and girls ages 3 to 5 get to improve their tumbling skills through a variety of exercises that develop strength and coordination. Take Level 1 in one week! Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday In this class you are introduced to all the fundamental skills of improvising, while improving your ability to listen and explore the power of building off of other peoples ideas. Level 1 is a survey of the entire program, exposing you to the elements of scene work and the various skills involved in creating well-acted, comedic improvisation. Passing Criteria: Students must demonstrate that their listening has improved over the course of the term and that they are willing to build off of their partners ideas, in addition to having gained some proficiency with the technical aspects of actually doing so on stage.
