Camp fee is ONLY $35 Trust me, these aren't "just old folks", we have a blast and do almost all the same activities the youth campers do! New for 2016 we have added a day trip to Millstone Creek Orchards in Ramseur, Thursday October 6th. Bus fair is sponsored by the Bessemer City Chapter 1286, and tickets are covered in your registration fee. Don’t forget to bring YOUR secret award winning dessert for our Home Cookin’ Cook Off. The winner will receive a prize from WoodmenLife. Bring your silent auction items, as we will be holding a benefit for the camp. Also we will participate in another food drive for our National Community Focus, FIGHT HUNGER! Items will be donated to a local shelter. Things you will need to bring: Bedding items: sheets and blankets. Personal hygiene items: soap, shampoo, bug spray and sun block are recommended. Each Winter Elite Faceoff Days will consist of warm ups, presentation and group practice of specific Elite faceoff techniques as well as real time faceoffs. Elite Faceoff techniques will include footwork, stance, hand position, primary move, counter move, GB play, wing play, stick work, and shooting instruction, etc. Individual player observation and instruction will occur throughout. Clinic will conclude with a skill appropriate king of the hill. Look through lenses, peek at a plant, or construct creations inspired by nature. Follow your nose through our garden, touch a tortoise, and search outdoors for clues to natures design. This camp encourages young scientists to explore the world using all five senses. Well explore nature through safe and exciting investigations of sound, light, texture, taste, and smell. Campers are sure to enjoy getting their hands dirty as they discover the sparkly, gooey, and stinky sides of science! Growing Scientists must be at least 3 years old by June 1, 2016, potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently.
