Cant wait until summer to hang out with your camp friends? Now you dont have to - sign up for our new Jr/Sr High Retreat on April 22-23. Youll be challenged by the theme of FUELED: BY GRACE. FOR OBEDIENCE. There will also be awesome worship, some engaging classes on a variety of topics, and of course all the things you love about camp: recreation, camp fire, friends, and all around fun. This is also a great opportunity to introduce your friends to camp who might not want to jump into a whole week - bring them for a short weekend and help them get their feet wet at Oak Hill. Veteran's Day Teen Service Project - Seattle, WA
Put your school holiday days to work! Join us on Veteran’s Day, November 11, for a service day in the local Seattle community. Pack a lunch, snacks and water to stay energized for our project. Friday morning will be spent at Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetland. We will be helping to restore the wetland habitat by removing invasive weeds, spreading mulch, and planting native trees and shrubs! $15 fee to participate includes staff supervision and transportation to service projects.

2015 End of Summer Guys Youth Camp - Gatlinburg, TN
This is the first youth camp hosted by St. Nofer Youth Meeting. We will be going to Gatlinburg, TN. The Cabin reserved is located in Gatlinburg on one of the highest peaks and the views of Mt. Le Conte are just spectacular, downtown Gatlinburg and Ober Gatlinburg ski resort by day and the beautiful city lights by night. We will have 2 Lectures, PEP talks, spiritual discussions, chats among the youth, a lot of entertainments using the cabin features, all that aside from touring around the city. The Hawks Haven Nest provides our youngest campers with the same quality and diverse program found in our Primary Camp. Campers participate in fun, active, enriching activities that are developmentally appropriate. While these children will not participate in off-campus field trips, we will bring special events and activities to campus just for them! Latin and Greek Cognates - Morgan Park Academy
It is estimated that 60% of the terminology college students will face come from words formed from ancient Greek and Latin affixes and root words. Knowing how to break down a word which has been formed from Greek or Latin can help a student not only build a working vocabulary, but also help a student construct a basic meaning for a new or unfamiliar word. Students who learn this skill see their vocabularies grow and their anxiety lessen. As students who enter college are faced with not only increased amounts of reading, but also increased difficulty in those readings, having the skill to navigate these readings, assignments, and exams makes academic success much more easily attainable. Our summer class will investigate and analyze Greek and Latin cognates so that students may increase their vocabulary and learn how to decode an unfamiliar word, providing a vital foundation for testing, reading, and writing confronted in upper school and university academic life. 773-881-6700
