Our week long Junior Golf Camp is offered each week during the summer. Juniors golfers will learn or improve their golf game. During the week, the instructors will cover each aspect of the game of golf. Juniors will receive 35 hours of supervised practice and instruction. Camp day on Friday includes a pizza party and Golf with Parents in the afternoon. Students will be introduced to specific drawing fundamentals and techniques including line drawing, value, shape, pattern, texture, shading, perspective and composition. This class will introduce different perspectives inspired from nature, still-life, photographs and the students own imagination. Forensics Detective - The Miami Valley School
Who doesnt love a good mystery? You will answer the questions, Who did it?, How did it happen?, and Do we have proof? Science will help us answer all these questions. You will fine-tune your detective skills of observation and creative thinking in this fun and inquisitive camp. Youth Learn to Row Camp - Water Sports Center
Learn to row this summer! Participants learn proper rowing technique, whole body conditioning and water safety while making new friends and enjoying a new and fun activity. Youth who particpate during the summer get a head start on team rowing if they choose to row during the school year. All camps are two weeks and there is no limit to the number of sessions a participant can sign up for. Eligibility - anyone who has never rowed prior to summer 2016, ages 13-18 and entering 8th - 12th grade in fall 2016. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LOCR is open to student athletes, ages 13-18 (8th-12th grade), regardless of experience. Practice is daily after school, Monday through Friday, 3:45-6:15p, and Saturday mornings 7:30-10:00a. LOCR offers a Fall racing season, Winter training season, Spring racing season, plus options row during the summer months. Rowers new to the sport are considered Novice and after their first year advance to Varsity. Through a partnership with the local high schools, Varsity athletes have an opportunity to letter just as they would in a sport offered through their school. Girdwood Fine Arts Camp was established in 1987, and provides a fast paced introduction to a variety of art media and professional artist styles. This registration is for the Primary A rt Camp (Ages 5-8) for the W eek I Camp held Monday - Friday from August 1-5 , 2016 in the AFTERNOON from 1pm - 3pm Y our child will work with guest artists and volunteers to explore different techniques and styles, while fully immers ing themselves in creativity. This camp provides a truly fun and dynamic experience that will spark creativity, engagement, exploration and individual expression. Ceramics 2 - Wild Animals - Artists Exchange
Animals, Animals, Animals! Make and bird out of a flat piece of clay or turn a clay bowl into a piggy bank. Campers will learn basic clay hand building techniques in this week of camp where kingdom Animalia rules supreme. Ceramics camps allow children to immerse themselves in clay studio studies ranging from basic hand building, wheel throwing, and sculpting. Campers will learn a variety of skills designed to fit the camp they are in. Ceramic focus campers will learn the technical aspects of recycling, slab work, build a simple kiln from a metal trash can and firing pottery in it. All under the guidance of a professional potter and the fire department. Clay adventures offers a beginners taste of experimenting with clay.
