LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Future Robot Creator - United Faith Christian Academy
Entry-level robotics and programming. Campers get a head start on simple robotics using LEGO® Education WeDo™ components and easy to use software. Our young creators will build models, attach sensors and motors, and configure behaviors using a simple programming tool. Counselors guide and encourage exploration and trial and error field-testing. Instead of simply snapping bricks together, campers are encouraged to think critically about how their robot design can be changed and to understand more complicated engineering techniques such as gear use, pulleys, and inclined planes. Robot models include a variety of animals, soccer players, amazing mechanisms, and adventure stories. When ready, campers move to advanced building and programming projects that include: a Racecar, Ferris wheel, and Carousel. As the week draws to a close, campers can utilize the skills they have learned to build an X-wing fighter or Marine helicopter. Parents are invited to join us on Fridays Family Day to view their childs creations. Campers will also complete a small LEGO® project that they will be able to take home. 7047743016.0

Explore all aspects of the theatre with other aspiring actors who love the stage as much as you do! Camp CCYT is the arts camp that is more than a traditional summer camp. Designed for students ages 10-18, the program is a comprehensive, one-week intensive, in which students get a chance to hone their skills in a fast-paced, creative environment. Camp CCYT meets July 18-23, 2015, 9am – 3 pm in the McBride Auditorium on BGSU Firelands College Campus. One performance of Godspell is scheduled for Saturday, July 23 at 10 am. Each student will not only STAR onstage in the production, but also will also contribute to the direction, choreography, set, lighting and costume design of the production. Discover Day Camp: Session 3-Were Going on a Hunt!: 9:00-3:00 - The Hockaday School
Calling all hunters of every kind! Bring your binoculars and come search for new adventures with your friends at Hockaday. Where in the world will we go and what will we find? We will investigate the art of scavenger hunts. Lets work together to see if we can find treasures, bugs, eggs, bears, lions, and more. We will even play hide and seek and bake a hidden treat! 214-360-6586
Cavalier Cross Country Camp - Boy Camper - The Miller School
The camp aims to prepare campers to compete in running events from 800-meters through 10,000-meters and cross country. There will be two running activities daily, each will be between 25 minutes and 60 minutes in duration, depending on age and ability. Teams are encouraged to come as a group, and learn to work together. A team is considered 5 or more from the same school, residential camper price is $445. To register as a team you must call/email Todd Morgan to register. We will have expert speakers covering racing, training, and strength strategies. Camp facilities include miles of trains, gym, pool, lake, canoes, etc.. A full-time camp counselor staff includes a certified ATC Trainer, and life guard. Beginning knitters will learn how to cast on, knit, purl and sew their creations together. More advanced knitters will practice reducing and adding stitches while learning about tension and gauge. With music, activities and games inspired by the magic of musical theatre, TCT will create a world of sorcery that would make Harry Potter jealous!
