Our 8-12 group will have an emphasis on basic movement pattern development, and SAQ (speed, agility, quickness) Training, while the 13-18 group will also dive into proper lifting technique and strength and explosive power development. Both groups will also receive education on how to maximize their results during camp through good nutiriton! Rock Band Camp @ SMCC - San Marcos Community Center
Students will learn how to play basic drum, guitar, bass and piano riffs to various lyric-appropriate (parent-approved) rock/pop songs of their choice. Classes will include ear training, learning to read music notation, instrumental techniques, viewing music video clips for inspiration, and more! No experience necessary, but welcomed! Instruments will be provided to share, but bring any that you have from home. Time will be allotted each day for a snack and water break. A short performance will take place on Friday at the end of class from 11:40-Noon where students will have the opportunity to sing and/or play different instruments for the songs we have been developing throughout the week. 20% sibling discount. Join us to watch your youth transform into mini-engineers as they try to solve the worlds greatest energy problems.
