Prerequisite: Taste of Optis The Second Taste is meant to build upon the foundation of sailing skills built while your student was in the Taste of Optis program. Take the next step in the Taste of process and add another week long program to reinforce parts of the boat, the sailing lingo, and overall comfort on the water. This class uses both the Opti Trainer and Optimist dinghy as students are guided to sail on their own by the end of the week. 860-535-9362

9B. Summer Camp - Java Game Programming - 5 Days - Gizmos & Gadgets Kids Lab
Students will learn about project design, object-oriented programming, console applications, graphics applications and many elements of the Java language. Along the way students will build on what they learn each day. This includes learning how to program frames, colors and programming moving objects. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of pong in Java. No programming experience is necessary but doing common tasks on a computer is useful. Who knows, maybe you have the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs living in your house and you never knew it! Under the instruction of the full time Florida State football staff and some of the best high school football coaches in the country, campers will be taught the rules, skills, and techniques to enhance their abilities and enjoyment of the game.
