2nd Annual Fox Camp Youth Hunt - undefined, MS
Hosted by Jeremy and Joni McLarty. Saturday, November 5th. Eat at 12:00, draw for hunting spots at 1:30, hunt at 2:30 until dark (exact stopping time will be announced on day of hunt). All people who attend Beulah Church are invited to come eat and attend event, and any non-hunters are invited to hang out at the cabin during hunt. Open to any kids between the ages of 5 and 11 years-old who attend Beulah Church. All entries must have an adult who is over the age of 21 to accompany them on their hunt. All entries and accompanying adults must sign a release form on day of hunt. Limit one buck and one doe per kid. The hunt will be held at Jumper Lake this year, only a few miles from the church. Each participant is asked to bring their own ATV or 4-wheel drive truck if possible, if not then please let hosts know ahead of time so we can try to make arrangements for you. Natures Explorers - Week 9 - Nature Center at Shaker Lakes
This week we will explore some ways we can help protect our planet. Campers will work together to brainstorm and create an earth-friendly product. At the end of the week, they will present their product to the rest of the camp and parents, demonstrating how everyone can think of ways to make our planet a better place. SC2016: Ferocious Whelk Week - Sundial
Ok, you arent thinking shells are ferocious are you? Youre thinking theyre beautiful and graceful? Well lightning whelks are beautiful and ferocious. Theyre also pretty fascinating! Lets snip open a lightning whelk egg case (youve probably seen one but didnt know what it was) and look at the hundreds of tiny whelks and the way they grow in a spiral. Lets do some spiralling art and dig down in the sand and pump water out the way whelks do. And lets look at how these creatures hunt! And for all you lefties out there, this is your shell!
