Artplay! Theatre and fine art collide! Join us for a new exploration of art history using the body and voice. Create scenes and mini plays using classic paintings and sculpture as the basis for story-creation, characters, and setting. Though improvisation, cooperation, and movement exploration, students will craft their own masterpieces of theatre inspired by art! This year AKA is proud to announce another summer featuring the AKA Ice Sports Week - Broomball, Curling, Skating and Hockey (Week 5). Thanks to the help of the USA Broomball Association kids will receive professional instruction and understanding of the sport of Broomball. ***Equipment is necessary - all kids must wear a helmet (hockey, football, bike, etc.) to be on the ice. Featured Fieldtrip - Zero Gravity Indoor Trampoline Park FYI - The actual day camp runs from 9am-4pm though kids are welcome to get dropped off as early as 7am and picked up as late as 6pm. Web Development Students learn to design & develop interactive modern websites using professional tools, frameworks and libraries. This camp provides a strong Front End Web Development foundation as students learn user interface design and coding in HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript. Mobile Game Development Students learn to design and code a mobile game App using Unity, a professional game development platform widely used by independent (indie) game developers and studios, and C#, an industry standard object-oriented programming language.
