CBMM’s Kids Club summer camps for 6-7 Year Olds - Saint Michaels, MD
Beginning June 20 and continuing through July 29, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is offering its week-long, half day Kids Camps, which bring age-appropriate Chesapeake-themed camps for children 4-7 years of age. Led by a CBMM educator, young Kids Club campers explore the magic of the Chesapeake Bay’s people, animals, and watercraft through fun and interactive activities, stories, games, and crafts. CBMM’s summer camps for children 4-5 years of age are offered during the weeks of June 20, July 4, and July 18; camps for children 6-7 years of age are offered the weeks of June 27, July 11, and July 25. Daily camps take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with campers meeting at CBMM’s Dorchester House and exploring the museum’s 18-acre campus and numerous exhibition buildings as part of the program. Participation is limited, with camps filling fast and pre-registration required. The cost for the week-long camp is $125 for CBMM members, or $150 for non-members, with scholarships available. Creative Drama Session 0 - St. Charles School
Theme: Fairy Tale Adventures Silly characters take to the stage! Through improvisation, special guest artist workshops, art projects, theatre games and rehearsals, campers will learn the basics of acting. Along the way they will discover new ways of collaborating with peers and the joy of performing. Past workshops have included stage make-up, choreography, singing, yoga, and swordplay! It is an intensive four day training program including elements of individual, team and specialty training. Three sessions will be dedicated to individual skill development. Spring Advanced Junior Golf School Ages: 13-17 $75 Registration Fee Monday, March 28th – Thursday, March 31st 1:00pm -3:30pm This Golf School will focus solely on instruction and fundamentals of executing each golf shot. Video analysis of each shot will be recorded and reviewed and sent to the student for future review. Each student will understand their flaws and what to practice to improve them based on their goals. This class will have advanced instruction techniques but is acceptable for all abilities. Each student will leave school with a better understanding of their golf swing and what it take to improve to reach their goals. Camp Instruction led by PGA Master Instructor Boykin Powers.
