Mandarin Language Summer School This program is interactive, immersive, and culturally rich for children learning Mandarin. A credentialed, experienced Immersion Teacher and a native speaker child care staff member teach each class. Enrollment is limited to approximately 20 students per class. Albany Gems Summer Youth Dance Camp - Albany, OR
The Gems are hosting their 2nd Annual Summer Dance Camp on July 16-17th, 2016. This is a two day camp for 1st - 8th grade dancers of all abilty and skill levels. All classes will be held in the main facility at the Albany Boys and Girls Club. Both days will run from 8:00am - 3:00pm. This give LOTS of time for parents to get some stuff done while we entertain your kiddos! Classes will be split up by level and experience so that everyone is in a class they are comfortable with. Classes will be divided into Mini, Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. Class descriptions will be posted later in the comments. Dancers will stretch and warm up together, learn a entire camp dance, learn level appropriate dance routines, practice technical skills that apply to all dancers, and dancers will be given snack and lunch breaks both days. The Road to Rio Gymnastics Camp-I - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
Session I For rising JK-4th grade students Dont miss your Road to Rio! It starts at our incredibly fun and challenging camp. Introduce your All-American Girl or Iron Man to the spirit of gymnastics! All-American Girl instruction will focus on vault, bars, balance beam, floor exercise and mini-trampoline. We will encourage the "grace" behind the sport and will incorporate turns, leaps, jumps and elements of the sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics along with tumbling and mini-trampoline. In our "Iron Men" tumbling program, the boys will be grouped by age and introduced to the basics of tumbling acrobatics such as rolls, cartwheels, handstands, handsprings, jumps and safety falls, in addition to mini trampoline fundamentals. For the older boys we offer acro-slam activities such as dunking balls by jumping off the mini-tramp. To round out this program, we will encourage the girls and boys to challenge their strength, flexibility, & coordination through fun, age appropriate gymnastics, challenges, and activities. Begin here & join the Road to Rio for 2016 Olympic Year! Daily Olympic games and relays played with prizes and end- of-camp participation medals will be included.
