Leader In Training Day Camp (L.I.T) - Rockhaven Camp and Retreat Center (FPC)
If you have a heart for mission, love being at camp and the desire to become a camp volunteer or counselor then this LIT camp is just for you. Youth 6th – 9th grade are invited to put faith into action and join us for one or both of these Leadership camps where we will focus on Christian Leadership and Discipleship. LITs will spend part of the week enjoying traditional camp fun and the rest of the time shadowing our trained staff in leadership development and faith building activities while serving as mentors and junior counselors to our day campers. Boys and Girls in grades K-6 will learn to play the fastest growing sport in the United States! Lacrosse is action packed and lots of fun. Using improvisation and short scenes, students will learn how to make strong character choices and work with objectives and relationships in this creative acting class. Afternoon Only (1:00 - 4:00 pm) Behind the Curtains of OZ - This week we will be building the yellow brick road to OZ along with light and sound design! The campers will also learn the basics in doing hair and makeup. All campers will be a part of the Wizard of Oz production running the weekend of July 1-2.
