3rd Annual DC Youth Football Camp - Denton, TX
We will be hosting our youth football camp for kids age 4-12 who have all skill levels from beginner to advanced. We will have NFL players out teaching the kids along with out great staff. Craniosacral Balancing 1 - Kansas City
Mondays, 3/7, 3/14, 3/21, 3/28 and Wednesdays 3/16, 3/23 and 3/30 In this class, the student will be introduced to the craniosacral system of the human body, comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. The emphasis in Craniosacral Therapy is to help resolve the trapped forces that underlie and govern patterns of disease in both body and mind. This involves the practitioner "listening through the hands" to the bodys subtle craniosacral rhythms to detect patterns of inertia or congestion. With this light touch modality – generally using only 5 – 6 grams of pressure – the practitioner can evaluate and treat restrictions in the craniosacral system offering relief to the client who suffers from migraines, autism, central nervous system disorders, chronic neck and back pain, stress, fibromyalgia and so much more. The Mind Thats Mine - 5th-6th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Timko How does your brain learn best? Through the course of a week students will explore this question using the latest brain research. Students will discover how learning impacts their own attention, language, memory, higher order cognition and social cognition. Simulations, hands on activities, group discussions, brain scans, and video clips will be the focus of instruction. Opti Green Fleet (Full Season PM) - NESS
Prerequisite: Opti LTS Step 3, Step 2 per instructor recomendation Students will be challenged to perfect their sailing techniques, learn to use hiking straps and tiller extensions, and expand their knowledge of wind, weather and upwind sailing. Students will be introduced to basic racing techniques and will be encouraged to participate in local Green Fleet regattas, which are designed for new racers. All students will be under the supervision of our instructors and coaches in class and at specific local regattas. Be on the look out for your ECSA regatta booklet which has all the regatta information in it that will be handed out during the first week of programs. Typically your child will participate in 6-8 regattas over the 8 week summer. Regatta fees are not included and typically range from $25-$35 per event. 860-535-9362
