It is a unique opportunity to hone your skills, learn new techniques and drills and showcase your talent to the more than 300 college coaches volunteering their time and talents to coach for the day. Players are grouped by graduation year (rising seniors and underclassmen) and position chosen, and rotate through offensive and defensive sessions throughout the day. Kickers have the option of staying with the kicking specialist coaches for the entire day, or rotating to another position if desired. Quarterbacks also have the option of playing quarterback all day, but we encourage players to rotate to another position. Players do not wear pads or helmets, but we recommend mouthguards. Little Stars (July 25) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This camp is a special introduction to acting that gives each child a chance to shine! Whether your child loves to do "shows" in your living room, or you wish they felt more comfortable expressing themselves, in this camp every voice is heard. We use creative movement and fun acting games that boost confidence and help build the body-mind connection. With a camper to caring counselor ratio of 4:1, there is a lot of individual attention. Confidence grows as children share their ideas and impressions, working collaboratively on their skit. Each week there are improv games and fun activities that help with concentration and observation skills. During the week campers sing and tell some jokes onstage, build a shoe box set, and paint the scenery for the show. Each day campers practice and prepare for their skit on Friday. We laugh a lot! INSTRUCTOR ROBERTA MASTERS-CULLEN has been teaching childrens classes and camps at the Little Theatre for seven years. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild specializing in radio and television voiceovers, and has been a television news anchor and reporter. Roberta teaches acting at Burgundy Farm Country Day School and in the Alexandria City schools program. 7036835778 x2
