6th - 10th grade girls: Basketball Camp - Saint Marys School
This camp will focus on encouraging middle and early high school aged athletes to develop their basketball skills for all level players. Focusing on the fundamentals of ball handling, passing, shooting, agility, positional and competition to nurture the total athlete. Coach Soemer has been coaching youth sports for 21 years. During this time he has coached basketball and soccer at various levels. He has also taught physical education for the past 14 years. Exploration musicale - South Hills Church
This brand new class will use French songs and musical games to develop listening, memory and diction skills. Students will love exploring different styles of music and playing different instruments, allowing them to develop a sense of rhythm, musical interpretation and improvisation and enhancing self-confidence. Sammy Slug Summer Camp, Session #8b, Half Day - Youth Programs
Sammy Slug Summer Camp is offered by the Office of Physical Education, Recreation & Sports (OPERS) for boys and girls entering 1st through 6th grades. Based at the East Field House, this camp is offered in one-week sessions June to August. There are half day and full day options, and pre-camp and post camp care is available. Throughout the week the 5 camp tenants which are Responsibility, Respect, Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Team Building are reinforced and integrated into the curriculum. Camp activities include a variety of sports such as basketball, tennis, frisbee, and soccer; outdoor recreation such as hiking and swimming; and other arts, crafts and outings to keep the campers engaged, active and creative. With a camper to staff ratio of 10:1, the camp focuses on creating a safe environment with a program designed, implemented, and staffed by experienced recreation professionals and UCSC students. SUMMER CAMP Our Summer Camp Program has one primary goal: getting kids active, outdoors! The Summer Camp program is a LICENSED DAY CAMP through the State of Wisconsin. You can be sure that the camp counselors are dedicated to meeting the needs of the campers. All of our camp counselors are at least 18 years of age, undergo a criminal background check, are certified in First Aid and CPR and receive extensive pre-camp training.
