S.P.A.R.K Summer Camp and Memphis Black Arts Alliance pull out all of the stops with the amazing tale of Patriarch Jacob who lived happily with his dozen sons, but whose favoritism for bright Joseph, symbolized by the gift of a spectacular multi-colored coat, makes his brothers so jealous they end up selling him as a slave and staging his death. Joseph rises in the service of wealthy Potifar, whose adulterous wife falsely accuses him, and he is incarcerated. His gift of dream-telling however wins him Pharoah's favor. "The primary goal of Academy Soccer Camps is to bring the game of soccer to as many children as possible. This developmental camp is for newcomers who want to learn the basics of soccer as well as experienced players who want to enhance their skills. Our coaches use enthusiasm and respect to bring out the best in each player. We focus on skill development, teamwork, and creating a passion for the worlds most popular game. Robot Inventor - Schenectady County Community College
Students will explore simple robotics using LEGO WeDo. Each week they will build models, attach sensors and motors that are plugged into a computer, and configure behaviors using simple programming. Four themes will be introduced including: Amazing Mechanisms, Wild Animals, Play Soccer and Adventure Stories. As students advance through the program extension projects can be added for those who are ready for more challenging projects. Sing! - Palace Education and Performance Center
Working with well known movie and Broadway songs, children will learn the fundamentals of singing. Each class will explore warming up and vocal technique with age appropriate tunes and vocal games. Children will also learn musical theatre performance techniques which will culminate in numbers performed for family and friends at the end of the year performance. Songs will be chosen from the classic Disney songbook through newer Broadway favorites. Past performance pieces have included such favorites as "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" from Frozen, "Evrybody Wants to Be a Cat" from Disneys The Artistocats and "Choose Me" from The Castaways.
