Instructor: Awyee Storey Ages: 8-15yrs Mon ? Friday, Jul 11-15, 9:00am -3:00pm (M-TH); 9:00am-12:00pm (F) Location: Fairfax High School Field House (Gym) Led by former Washington Wizards forward Awvee Storey and his experienced staff, the camp will feature professional instruction for boys and girls, with the instruction designed for the specific skill level of the participants. Coach Storey was a standout collegiate basketball player at Arizona State University, before continuing his playing career professionally in the NBA with the Wizards, New Jersey Nets, and Milwaukee Bucks. Storey also competed professionally internationally in New Zealand and the Philippines. The instruction will focus on the game?s fundamentals, while instilling the importance of commitment, teamwork, character, and sportsmanship helping each camper reach his/her full potential. The Ripples Day Camp was a perfect way to introduce her to the campus and all it has to offer. She became an excellent swimmer and is already talking about training to be a counselor next year. On Thursday, December 31st the Crash is headed to Rock Lake Christian Assembly for a Winter Retreat. We will be returning on January 2nd. Your student is not going to want to miss this. The cost is going to be $60 and this covers transportation, lodging and all there food. We are going to be studying through the book of Ephesians this weekend in a very powerful way. Participants will enjoy daily swim lessons, free swim, arts & crafts, nature study and special events. There is an Open House on Friday, June 24 from 3-5:30pm at Greenwood Childrens Center and Greenwood Park. Join us to meet the staff that will be working with your child this summer and take this opportunity to visit our facility. Returning campers are welcome to stop by as well. The WCU Field Hockey Day Camp is designed for the development of the field hockey athlete from advanced level to beginners. All campers will have individual skill instruction with play-ers of similar ability and experience. Topics that will be covered: individual/group instruction, offensive/defensive strategies, specialized goal-keeper instruction, as well as competitive game experiences in a positive learning environment. EQUIPMENT Each camper should bring a stick, shinguards, sneakers or turf shoes, mouthguard, bath-ing suit, sunscreen, and a con-tainer of water (no glass). WCU and its camp staff are not re-sponsible for lost or missing items. All personal equipment should be marked with the campers name. MEALS All campers are responsible for providing their own lunch and drinks (in a cooler). 610-436-3555
