LATEST CAMPS NEWS: The Road to Rio Gymnastics Camp-I - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
Session I For rising JK-4th grade students Dont miss your Road to Rio! It starts at our incredibly fun and challenging camp. Introduce your All-American Girl or Iron Man to the spirit of gymnastics! All-American Girl instruction will focus on vault, bars, balance beam, floor exercise and mini-trampoline. We will encourage the "grace" behind the sport and will incorporate turns, leaps, jumps and elements of the sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics along with tumbling and mini-trampoline. In our "Iron Men" tumbling program, the boys will be grouped by age and introduced to the basics of tumbling acrobatics such as rolls, cartwheels, handstands, handsprings, jumps and safety falls, in addition to mini trampoline fundamentals. For the older boys we offer acro-slam activities such as dunking balls by jumping off the mini-tramp. To round out this program, we will encourage the girls and boys to challenge their strength, flexibility, & coordination through fun, age appropriate gymnastics, challenges, and activities. Begin here & join the Road to Rio for 2016 Olympic Year! Daily Olympic games and relays played with prizes and end- of-camp participation medals will be included. The Mid-High Camp is a 2-day camp that will feature intense drills and practices for campers entering 7th-9th Grade in Fall 2016. Camp instruction will be provided by the OU Football Coaching Staff along with select current Sooner players. This camp will help improve your campers skills while they experience the Sooner Championship tradition alongside our elite coaches and athletes! PLEASE NOTE: Meals and lodging are not provided for Commuter Campers. Campers must be picked up and dropped off by an authorized adult for EACH practice session. Number Sense - Office of Children, Youth & Learning
Children learn math concepts through games, songs, learning centers, whole group activities and everyday math related experiences and problem solving. Children develop number recognition, counting skills and learn to use numbers and language to compare quantities and solve problems. Sorting, patterning, measurement, graphing, shapes and number formation are included in the number sense curriculum. Trekking for the Health of it - Old Trail School
Join Mrs. Wilson for a 3-5 mile intense hike in the beautiful CVNP. Be ready for strenuous trails by wearing sturdy hiking shoes or boots and carrying a water bottle. Eat a good breakfast for energy and stamina. We will be on the bus promptly at 9am to be able to get back to school in time for lunch. Bring rain gear and be ready for some serious hiking fun. Ages 9 and above unless Mrs. Wilson gives written permission to a younger child who is capable of these hikes. Students can meet at Brandywine Falls Friday at 5pm and hike 4 miles to Stanford Youth Hostel for an overnight campout. Pick up at Stanford Youth Hostel at 10:00 am on Saturday morning. Camping cookout dinner and breakfast will be provided. Students bring and carry their own backpack, sleeping bag, camping mat to sleep on, dishes, utensils, and clothes.
