Dave Parrish Memorial Youth Rugby Camp - West Saint Paul, MN
This is the first annual Dave Parrish Memorial Youth Rugby Camp! This is a non-contact rugby camp open to kids in middle school and below. The cost is $10 to help cover costs of renting the dome, and the first 50 registrants get a FREE rugby ball. While this is run by Eagan Rugby's Middle School program, this camp is open to kids in surrounding areas. Dave passed away far too soon in January 2015. But before he did he made a lasting impact upon our Eagan Rugby program. He loved working with kids and introducing this wonderful sport to them. Thus, in his honor (and thanks to his memorial foundation), we are thrilled to present this opportunity to kids.

Our goal is to take AT LEAST 100 students this year! Camp cost is $350 if you give your $75 non refundable deposit on or before April 1. After that date the price goes up to $380. For those who haven’t been before, Family Week often takes some explaining. It’s not a “kids’ camp” or a “sleepaway camp”: it’s for the entire family. We share traditional camp accommodations: several families per bunkhouse, and everyone eats community style. During the morning, kids take classes in community dance, English team dance, and art, while parents are free to come dance, play music, sing, or simply relax. After lunch, families come back together, for swimming, jamming, playing games, and a series of great classes for all. During the week of camp, a community like no other grows, culminating in a demo day when everyone shows each other what we’ve been doing. Every evening, we come together to dance. While the family is the basic unit at camp, it’s pretty loosely defined: traditional parents and kids, aunts and uncles with nieces and nephews, or grandparents with their grandchildren. Your West Circle Drive Hy-Vee is offering a series of cooking classes designed to teach teens (age 12-17) essential cooking skills! Each class will feature a different theme. Teens will be able to eat their creations at the end of the class. July 28th: Italian cooking: pastas and sauces Classes will be taught in our DISH classroom by the in-store dietitian and one of our talented chefs. Fees: $25 per class, due on date of registration. Registration required at least 72 hours prior to scheduled class. To register, visit customer service in the store or call customer service at 507-292-6000. We offer seven, 5 day sessions for campers who are 8 to 12 years old. Campers who are 13 to 17 years old may attend as Counselors in Training or Junior Counselors. Each week offers an imagination based theme. Evening activites will be based on the theme of the week. Daytime activities include organized games, pool activities, creek stomps and arts and crafts.
