This was the first time our daughter was going away for the summer and we were understandable cautious but optimistic. Doing the research on Brewster before signing up helped because there were so many positive reviews. I'm happy to report they lived up to those reviews in so many ways. I was especially impressed at how the counselors made it seem like every kid was a priority. This makes me wish I could go to summer camp! We'll be back next year!... Read More...

2017 Teen Winter Retreat - Jackson, OH
Registration for the retreat will be held on Saturday, January 28, from 3– 4 p.m. and will dismiss at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 29. The Teen Winter Retreat will feature many fun events, activities and programs. You will need to bring your completed health form and activity release form that is signed by your parent/guardian in order to participate. Please bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes as we will probably be taking part in some outdoor activities during the retreat. You will also need to bring your own, bedding, towels and bathroom supplies. Registrations should be submitted by Friday, January 20 to Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp. Registrations with payments should be mailed to Canter's Cave 4-H Camp at 1362 Caves Road, Jackson, Ohio 45640. The weekend is dedicated to creating a relationship with God, making new friends, and worshipping. We’ll learn about what it means to have God’s love in our lives, and truly how to forgive. Outdoor Youth Day - West Palm Beach, FL
(FSCA) Florida Sportsmen's Conservation Association 16th Annual Outdoor Youth Day Our Annual event is scheduled for February 6,2016 at the Everglades Youth Camp in J W Corbett WMA. We are expecting over 1,500 children of all ages to come and enjoy various activities. In an effort to reduce the increasing decline of our children's interest in the outdoors, FSCA has created an Outdoor Youth Day. Outdoor Youth Day is a Program specifically designed to educate children to many different recreational activities available in our natural areas but munch more importantly have some fun outdoors. This is the 16th Annual Outdoor Youth Day event and It’s FSCA biggest day of the year. Youth Day has buggy rides, canoeing, pony rides, airboat rides and displayed, archery, gun range instruction, fishing and wildlife shows to reach kids of all ages and show them the benefits of being outdoors instead of in front of a TV. Last years annual event had over 1,200 participants that came and over 150 volunteers that worked the whole day. Please call Caroll at 561 795-1375 for more information.

Our service project will be this Saturday. We'll meet up at church first at 8:30 AM and go from there. The project will last until 12:00 PM. All are welcomed to participate, but remember, you must be there if you anticipate that you'll be requesting a need-based scholarship for Teen Camp 2015. Also, this should count for service learning hours, if that's your thing. Thanks.

Whos ready to have a fiesta? Throughout the week well practice our Spanish while taking trips to the Latino markets in Durham, the Panaderia (bakery), and the Paleteria (ice cream shop). La Cocina Loca campers will shop for lunch ingredients to make their lunches on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and hop on the Duke School bus to travel off campus for lunch on Tuesday and Thursday. Please note that lunch is provided for the whole week, but your camper still needs to bring a morning and afternoon snack. Director: Carla Horta 9194932642.0
