[] This summer, for our first session of the day, the ALL NEW "Power of Drawing!" summer classes will take you on adventures to places, spaces, and other worlds with specialized drawing workshops. First, we zoom to the farthest reaches of the galaxy with our new friend, Sketch, and his colorful cast of cartoon friends! From astronauts in jetpacks to out-of- this-world alien lifeforms, our students will learn how to compose well-drawn cartoon figures in dynamic poses. Then we tackle a world of monsters, creatures, and creeps - from furry to scaly! The campsite is new, and we're sure that each of you will love everything about it. We've got great speakers lined up for the weekend, fun activities, and amazing counselors that are sure to make your experience memorable! Tickets are going to be made available on April 4th at 9 pm. Please note that we have limited spots that usually sell out within a day or two. Registration is $170, and you must be at least 14 & a freshman in high school. We're looking forward to an exciting weekend with all of you!
Overland Kids Halloween Party
Mark your calendars, put on your costume and join us for a fun spooky night with all your friends. We will have costume contests by age groups, pizza and a drink for the kids, scavenger hunt, games and prizes, and candy! This is a free, safe, indoor trick-or-treating event open to children ages 2 to 12 of Overland Residents, Overland Business Owners, and City of Overland Employees and their families. Parents are required to accompany their children for the entire duration of their stay. Registration will start on October 1st and will end on October 29, or until the maximum number has been registered. This event will be held on Friday October 30 in the gymnasium at the Overland Community Center from 6-8:15 pm, with check in time between 5:45 – 6:45 p.m. only. All participants must be in costume and donate at least one can food item to enter the event. Register on Oct. 1 and be one of the first 175 overland kids entered into this year’s extraordinary Kids Halloween Party.
